If the Today show producers ever decided to replace Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb for an extra hour of this every day, I might actually start watching.

On today’s Halloween-themed broadcast, we all - even die-hard Stars Wars fans - learned a few new facts about those creatures called Ewoks.

1. They don’t know crap about decoupage.
2. They love drinking vodka in the morning.
3. They know how to moonwalk.
4. They will kick each other in front of the cameras, even before you even say “Action.”
5. They will hump anything…whether it be Al Roker‘s leg or the ground.

Wednesday Ratings: World Series a Grand Slam for FOX

Game 1 of the World Series was easily a knockout for FOX—but it also did well for ABC. Although it was a distant second in the viewers, the Alphabet network saw its audience numbers go up thanks to original counterprogramming.

8pm

• Last night’s World Series game (19.5 million, 6.3 rating in 18-49) had the best numbers for an opener in five years.
• Monsters vs. Aliens (2.2/6) pulled in 6.9 million for NBC; a second showing (5.6 million, 1.9/5) did 1.3 million less.
• The New Adventures of Old Christine* (6.6 million, 1.6/5) lost 400,000; Gary Unmarried* (6.4 million, 1.7/5) did the same.
• It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown* (6.3 million, 2.0/6) did 500,000 better than last week’s Hank; The Middle (6.6 million, 2.2/6) picked up 200,000.
• America’s Next Top Model (3.5 million, 1.6/4) reached a season high demo.

Tuesday Ratings: Big Night for Biggest Loser

Had this been any other Tuesday, CBS would have likely topped all categories. But thanks to a full slate of repeats, the Eye network was only first with the viewers while NBC (finally!) managed a win in the demos.

8pm

• An NCIS* repeat (16.1 million, 3.2/9 in 18-49) was still the most-watched show of the night.
• The Biggest Loser (9.7 million, 3.7/10) had the best demos of the evening.
• Approximately 8.9 million celebrated Halloween with It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (2.7/7).
• So You Think You Can Dance (2.5/6) had 6.5 million on their feet.
• 90210* (1.4 million, 0.7/2) dropped 1 million.

Monday Ratings: Jay Leno Tanks Against Repeat

Could it really get any worse than this? Although the program faced a CBS repeat, The Jay Leno Show did the unthinkable last night: it went down. The talk show went so far down, it hit a season low in the demos. ABC, in the meantime, took advantage of the decreased competition and scored wins in both the viewers and the demos this Monday.

8pm

• Dancing with the Stars (3.8/10 in 18-49) averaged 17.4 million over the two hours.
• How I Met Your Mother* (2.6/7) pulled in 7.1 million; Accidentally on Purpose* (2.1/5) nabbed 6 million.
• Heroes (2.5/6) scored 5.9 million.
• A special So You Think You Can Dance (2.6/7) attracted 5.8 million.
• One Tree Hill (2.7 million, 1.3/3) hit season highs.

Sunday Ratings: Yankees Strike Home Run for FOX

If you’re a football or a baseball fan, you were a winner last night. Baseball playoff coverage helped give FOX overall wins in both categories yesterday, but the gridiron action on NBC wasn’t too far behind.

• Approximately 14 million watched the New York Yankees win the ALCS (4.8/12 in 18-49).
• Sunday Night Football (5.2/13) pulled in 13.3 million for NBC.
• The Amazing Race (11 million, 3.2/8) added on 300,000.
• Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (10.6 million, 2.9/8) nailed down another 200,000.

Friday Ratings: Dollhouse in Need of a Break

• Law & Order (7.2 million, 1.5/5) was down 400,000.
• Approximately 4.7 million watched the return of Supernanny (1.1/4).
• Smallville (2.5 million, 1.1/4) only lost 100,000.
• Brothers (0.8/3) pulled in 2.4 million; ‘Til Death (0.7/2) settled for 2 million.

Thursday Ratings: Survivor Scare Draws Viewers

It might not have been the way Russell Swan wanted to leave, but he definitely got our attention. Last night’s scary episode of Survivor picked up its best numbers of the season. Unfortunately, CBS’ other repeats gave ABC wins in both the viewers and the demos yesterday.

• Survivor: Samoa (12.9 million, 4.0/11 in 18-49) added on 1 million.
• Game 5 of the ALCS (3.3/9) scored 10.3 million.
• FlashForward (9.8 million, 3.0/9) picked up 700,000.
• Community (5.2 million, 1.9/6) did about the same; Parks and Recreation (5 million, 2.1/6) improved by 300,000.
• The Vampire Diaries* (2.3 million, 0.9/3) lost 1.6 million.

• The New Adventures of Old Christine (7 million, 2.1/6) was off 500,000; Gary Unmarried (6.4 million, 2.2/6) lost 1 million.
