Mr. and Mrs. Smith Travels To The Small Screen
The surprise hit of last summer, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, delighted fans of all ages. It didn’t hurt that the leads were especially delectable. ABC just announced that they will be developing a television series based on the film, which followed the adventures of a husband and wife who were both assassins, unbeknownst to each other. The pilot is expected to air in the 2006-2007 TV season. Could this be a new trend, mining the big screen instead of thinking up original ideas? Ah, well. As long as the result is entertaining!

I tried watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith the other week, but neither I nor my husband could get through it. It was both boring and confusing, not to mention a bit shallow. It wasn’t really very funny either. I guess I’ve been spoiled by TV shows and movies that actually have a logical, thought-provoking plot.

I like Mr. and Mrs. Smith but I think they did rely too much on it being Brad and Angelina. If they were lesser stars the story might have been better…
