Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

According to Entertainment Weekly, the whistle may soon be blown on a Ugly Betty hunk.

Back in May, I declared Eddie Cibrian to be ABC’s Hottest Co-Star of the Year. Unfortunately, the hot gym teacher will apparently be taking his chest dimples over to another network. Cibrian, who was only scheduled to appear in four Betty episodes this season, has now lined up a short arc on USA’s The Starter Wife.

So what will Coach Tony Diaz’s eventual departure mean for Hilda? Well, if she’s half as devastated as I am—it’ll probably mean lots of nights spent with Ben & Jerry.

The Huffington Post is reporting that a new male cast member will be joining the crew from Saturday Night Live.

Bobby Moynihan, a veteran of the comedy troupe the Upright Citizens Brigade, successfully passed his final auditions last week to become a part of the show’s 34th season.

Although it was widely believed a woman would be selected - since Amy Poeher is scheduled to leave sometime this year - another addition may still be made at a later time.

SNL starts gearing up for the elections on September 13.

Looks like the USA Network is loading up on all the hotties.

After a few recurring appearances on In Plain Sight, actor Cristian de la Fuente is now being given a regular role.

During the show’s freshman season, Cristian was often caught in between his U.S. Marshal girlfriend (actress Mary McCormack) and her troubled sister (Nichole Hiltz). Will his full-time gig now mean more uncomfortable tension Raphael and and Brandi? I really, really hope not.
