Danny Glover will be joining the cast of Brothers & Sisters this fall, playing Nora’s (Sally Field) love interest. No word on how many episodes he’ll appear, but it is a recurring role, so expect him around for a few at least. I’m excited to see Glover, but wonder how his relationship with Field’s character will play out. I was slightly disappointed by her coupling with Peter Coyote last season—it just seemed to fall flat. Of course, whenever I see Glover, I immediately think of Lethal Weapon. Case in point, we watched the movie Shooter the other night and what’s the first thing my husband and I see when Danny Glover is on screen? “I’m gettin’ too old for this sh*t.” Without fail—everytime he’s in a movie, that’s what comes to mind. So, I’ve got to get over that when he’s on Brothers & Sisters! Glover last appeared on the small screen in 2005 on ER, playing Mekhi Phifer’s father.
