Is The Nine Down For The Count?

The NineOkay – I know that putting a show on hiatus is not exactly a NEW thing.  But it’s been a long time since I’ve watched a complete dud, so I’m not used to when it happens to me..especially mid-story line.

So needless to say, I was stunned to hear this morning that ABC’s The Nine was put on immediate hiatus.  I mean, I know that the ratings weren’t as high as hoped, but c’mon…..it was a good show!  To make matters worse – there’s no exact word at this time when the show might be resurrected.

Arrgggh!!!

How will I be able to sleep not knowing if Eva was in on the whole thing?? And how about those poor lovebirds, Jeremy and Lizzie??  What happened in that bank that forced them to break up?  And what exactly happened to Felicia that made her so traumatized???

I don’t like this new position that I’ve been put in and I’m not sure if I will ever get past Stage Denial.  A plea to anyone who’s gone through this before: Please let me know what to expect next…

Comments:

I loved this show and I’m totally bummed that it’s been yanked.

My most recent experience with a show getting pulled was with another Tim Daly series, Eyes (and even better show than T9, IMO) and…indefinite hiatus was not good.  The series was yanked after five episodes with a promise to return in May, but it never came back.  The series had filmed 12-13 episodes, which were eventually available as bittorrent downloads (if you knew were to look) but never actually shown on TV.  AOL recently announced (over 18 months later) that 8 of the episodes will be available online.

Hopefully a better fate awaits The Nine.  It seemed like the network really believed in the show going into the season.  Hopefully someone still loves it somewhere.
