He talked about finding his golf swing and seemed disappointed he would now have to cancel a poker game scheduled at his residence, even joking with jailers as he took it all in stride. The reality show was being taped when Simpson was escorted into the Clark County Detention Center on January 11, and they hit the cable TV jackpot when the former footballer was brought in. One exec called Simpson’s stay “strange” and not what they “expected” at all.
