Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
Desperate Housewives: Wondering what Susan’s daughter has been up to recently? Well, you will soon find out. Julie Mayer (Andrea Bowen) will be returning to Wisteria Lane next year…for probably more than just a quick visit. The network has confirmed that Julie, who was most most recently seen dating her professor, will at least be back for the September 27 premiere. (Sources say she will become a series regular.) Meanwhile, another young lady has been granted an extended stay. Maiara Walsh, who played Carlos’ niece Ana Solis, will be around to give Gaby grief for the entire season.
Law & Order: SVU A former Will & Grace star will be doing a 180 for an entirely different NBC show. Eric McCormack, who was most recently on Trust Me, will be guesting on the cop drama as an attractive sugar daddy. His appearance is slated for Week 2 of Season 11.
The New Adventures of Old Christine: Eric McCormack‘s dramatic stint will be followed up by a return to comedy. According to EW, he has also nabbed a recurring role on the CBS program. Eric will reportedly play a therapist and possible love interest for Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
The Mentalist: Teresa Lisbon’s former boss, and ex, will be around to ruffle Patrick Jane’s feathers next season. Former Oz actor Terry Kinney will join the hot CBS drama as Agent Sam Bosco, a member of California Bureau of Investigation’s Serial Crimes Unit. He’ll stick around for at least seven episodes to assist in the Red John case. The program will return on September 24.
Entourage: Even though the new season of hasn’t yet premiered, filming on the comedy’s finale has already begun. Making an appearance on the October 4 episode will be a “stalkerish” Matt Damon. The Oscar winner, playing himself, will approach Vince Chase about making a large donation to his real-life charity, One By One. NBA star Lebron James will also guest alongside Damon.
