Casting Corner: True Blood, Justified and More

Michael Steger

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

True Blood: Michael Steger briefly saw his ex-girlfriend date another woman on 90210. Now, he’s been cast as a gay prostitute on HBO’s hit program. Steger, who is right now only scheduled for a one-episode appearance in Season 3, will get picked up by the Vampire King of Mississippi. Steger could possibly have a recurring role in Season 4.

Royal Pains: 24‘s Mary Lynn Rajskub will be pulling herself away from the computer to play “a girl who does yoga on diet pills.” Look for Ms. Newberg’s niece to visit the USA Network series on June 10.

Sons of Anarchy: Readers of Entertainment Weekly already know Stephen King loves television - so it’s only appropriate that the columnist guest on one of his favorite shows. The author will be featured in Episode 3 as a loner who surfaces during Gemma’s time of need.

Justified: Walter Goggins’ fate on Justified is (so far) looking a lot better than it did on The Shield. The actor, who stars as Boyd Crowder on the FX drama, has just been promoted to series regular. The show has already been renewed for a second season.

Desperate Housewives: We may not know how the series will end this month, but we do know what Housewives will look like in the fall. Mark Moses, who resided on Wisteria Lane as killer Paul Young, will resurface in the neighborhood full-time next season. Moses has been a part of the Mad Men cast since his time away from ABC.
