Last week, ABC’s celebrity dancers got a free pass -- but this week, the field had to be narrowed. Someone had to become the first casualty of Dancing With the Stars 12, and the first results show of the season was tense indeed.

Host Tom Bergeron prolonged the agony for as long as possible, putting bottom three dancers Wendy Williams, Sugar Ray Leonard and “Psycho Mike” Catherwood on pins and needles. Psycho Mike Catherwood, Lacey Schwimmer - Dancing With the Stars 12

Love Line co-host “Psycho Mike” became the first elimination of the season, joining the likes of David Hasselhoff, Jeffrey Ross and Kenny Mayne to get the first kick of the year. As Catherwood joked, “it pretty much puts [him] on the Mount Rushmore of terrible dancers.” And, that’s not such a bad place to be.

“It’s been nothing but a pleasurable experience,” he said his good-byes, and praised Dancing partner Lacey Schwimmer. “I’ve made a lifelong friend,” Catherwood said of his instructor.

But, all is not lost. The couple joined Britney Spears on Jimmy Kimmel Live following the elimination. Speaking of recording artists, Chris Brown went back to ABC to perform on the results episode of Dancing, amid much controversy. All went off without a hitch. Watch a video of his performance below.
