Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 2 Loser
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Editorial, Features, Video

Last night on Dancing with the Stars: Season 7, the remaining 11 couples took on either the Rumba or the Paso Doble. While one would normally expect to see better numbers in Week 2, most of the performers inexperienced declines.
When the points were totaled, Warren Sapp - who scored a 24 for his Paso - was the only person to see an improvement on Monday. But given that Brooke had scored a 26 last week, her 24 (also for the Paso) didn’t look so bad.
Of the four performers sitting in the under-20 point range, two hit new lows last yesterday: Kim (17) and Cloris (15). Meanwhile, the other two - Rocco (16) and Maurice (19) - still didn’t have much to brag about.
In the end, sheer laziness was the factor behind this week’s elimination. Although Leachman and DiSpirito had lower point totals and overall averages, the viewers were just as disappointed with Kim Kardashian as the judges were.
You can review Kim’s last performance (the Rumba) below:

I’ve been watching DWTS since it started and voted this week for the first time. You’ll never guess who I voted for…Cloris Leachman! Right!! I felt that the other dancers just “phoned it it” and was especially disgusted with Lance’s “paso doble”. It was not even recognizable. They are enjoying flaunting all the rules and “being themselves”. This is a competition and they refuse to play by the rules. A pity! He has the makings of a very good dancer. This was the first week Cloris really got serious about the dancing and didn’t play the ‘ditsy old lady’. She seemed to have worked hard on the dance and did her best. She is the only one I can say that about. She seemed very bold and willing to try anything. Is she the best dancer? NOPE. But she is giving it her best. Carrie Ann’s comment about missing her ‘humor’ was out of line. NONE of the dancers are there to be a clown…not even an 80+ year old. I thought she deserved to come back and I’m glad she is.
