Daytime Dish: ‘GH’, ‘One Life to Live’, ‘As The World Turns’

Sarah Brown, the first of four actresses to play the role of Carly Corinthos, will be making a return to . Interestingly enough, she won’t be there to take her old spot back (like recently did on ).  Brown will be making a splashy entrance as an entirely new character: Claudia Zacchara, mobster Johnny’s sister.  (Don’t try and question how this could happen; played a different character on the vampire-filled before she became Sam on the bloodsucker-less GH.)

Sarah, who originated the role of Carly back in 1996 (she left in 2001), will not only have a juicy face-to-face with the current Carly (played by ), she’ll have a heated encounter of the bedroom kind with her old hubby, Sonny Corinthos.  I can’t wait! Brown currently has a one-year contract with the daytime drama and is scheduled to make her debut on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Special musical appearances have become common ground for soap operas, and Llanview has been a hot spot as of late.  Singer/producer brought the house down back in October, now it’s time for another artist to take the stage.  Cue .  The winning artist will be seen twice next month during the sweeps period.  (This is actually the singer’s second visit to the serial; her first ‘concert’ was back in 2006.)

Fans will get free admission to Blige’s ‘shows’ on Feb. 15th and 18th.

A grassroots campaign has been directed toward the bigwigs behind .  The soap was the first to introduce a kiss between two men last year.  Unfortunately for supporters, those characters (Luke and Noah) have since gone cold.

In hopes of getting another smooch, a website is encouraging fans to send Hershey’s chocolate kisses to CBS as part of their ‘Kiss Campaign’.  (Yes, something similar to this was done to the same network on behalf of .) Those who would like to participate, can get more information here.
