DWTS News: Holly Madison, Nancy O’Dell

UPDATE: Jewel and Nancy are both leaving the show.

Although the premiere of is still days away, the backstage drama just keeps on coming:

Holly Madison: Let me guess. You’re probably asking yourself right now, “What does Hugh Hefner’s ex have anything to do with DWTS?” Well, according to Us Weekly, there may be more to this Girl Next Door.

An inside source tells the magazine that Madison will be part of next Monday’s premiere. Unless something changes within the next few days, it’s believed the Playboy Playmate will be there to replace an injured Jewel. (The singer is suffering from tendonitis in her knees.)

Former roomie Bridget Marquardt apparently confirmed the rumor to FOX’s Strategy Room today. “She’s wanted to do it for so long,” Bridget claimed. “It just never worked with her schedule and Hef was always like ‘I don’t want you to do that,’ and now it’s her time, so I’m really happy for her.”

Nancy O’Dell: Meanwhile, the Access Hollywood host is now the third contestant to report a preseason injury. (Gilles Marini is the other.) O’Dell told TV Guide that her right knee was twisted during rehearsals.

“This one particular move, I lock my knees and I’m up on my toes, so all my weight was on my right foot. It was a weird kind of ‘ow,’ but it wasn’t until I got home that night that it swelled up a little bit,” Nancy explained. A near-collision with a piano bench later only made the matter worse.

Although she was scheduled for a doctor’s evaluation earlier today, O’Dell said she was determined to make it to the March 9th start. (But maybe we should place Kendra Wilkinson on standby, just in case?)
