Apparently if you want to hear breaking news, The Ellen DeGeneres Show is the place to be.
In addition to finding out that Katherine Heigl was adopting a child (the pre-taped interview will air this Friday), that talk show audience also learned about Ellen’s new American Idol gig first.
Read More During the announcement taped yesterday, DeGeneres said she hopes to represent the American audience during her night job. “Hopefully I’m the people’s point of view, because I’m just like you. I sit at home and I watch it…and I don’t have that technical…I’m not looking at it in a critical way, from the music producer’s mind. I’m looking at it as a person who’s gonna buy the music, and who’s going to relate to that person. So I’m hopefully going to be that voice of what we’re all doing at home.” So what do you think of Ellen’s statement? Do you want a judge who knows just as much as you do…or acts like they know better? (Make sure to check out our other American Idol 9 posts.)
