David HernandezDavid Hernandez, who impressed judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson early in the season, has been talked about more for his somewhat shady past than his singing - but that’s generally how it goes with scandal. The stripper-turned-reality contestant was the first to leave the Top 12, but many attribute this more to bad press than bad singing.

In a recent interview, Hernandez talked about his past, the scandal, and what awaits him in the future. On his days as a stripper, Hernandez said “I have no regrets, and ultimately I don’t answer to anybody but myself and God.” He hopes to release an album within the year, promising that any work of his will be heavily influenced by R&B and contain a soulful vibe.
