Jerry Springer Leaves America’s Got Talent

Jerry Springer America may have talent…but it doesn’t have a host.

Jerry Springer, the host of America’s Got Talent, is leaving after several seasons on the job. The 64-year-old joined the NBC series back in 2007, one year after Regis Philbin helped launch the program.

In a statement, Springer said his departure was a result of conflicting schedules. “These last two seasons, working with everyone associated with the show and all the extraordinary and talented performers across America, has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. This summer, I will be pursuing a wonderful opportunity in the theatre. That, coupled with my syndicated talk how leaves my plate more than full and thus, I will not be returning for Season Four,” Jerry explained.

No replacement has yet been announced for the summer hit. Meanwhile, auditions for America’s Got Talent 4 have already begun.
