Jon Stewart and Jim Cramer Clash on Daily Show

After a week-long media battle, in which anchors from several different networks weighed in, Jon Stewart and Jim Cramer enjoy a much-anticipated meeting on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.
Stewart has recently focused on many of Cramer’s predictions and bits of advice, which he provides through his CNBC show Mad Money.
“I understand that you want to make finance entertaining, but it’s not a [expletive deleted] game,” Stewart sassed Cramer near the top of the interview. “I can’t reconcile the brilliance and knowledge that you have of the intricacies of the market with the crazy [expletive deleted] I see you do every night,” he said a few minutes later.
Read More Jon Stewart is the highly popular host of The Daily Show, which is officially labeled as a variety show. Blending the charisma of the host with the comedy of great writers, the program offers up news and information on current events as well as standard interviews, some of which are conducted with Hollywood stars touting their latest movie project. But those who think Stewart offers only comedic relief have been surprised by the hard-hitting host in the past. He may be funny, but Jon Stewart isn’t a joke. Stewart appeared on CNN’s Crossfire in 2004, creating a segment that continues to live on in YouTube infamy to this day. Stewart used his time to criticize the show’s hosts, calling Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala “partisan hacks.” When the show was subsequently canceled in 2005, incoming President (at the time) Jonathan Klein cited Stewart’s appearance on the show. When criticized by Stewart during the Daily Show interview, Cramer admitted, “we all should have seen it more,” referring to the country’s current economic collapse. “I, too, like you, want to have a successful show,” Cramer stated. The interview was edited for its run on The Daily Show, but if you want to see the entire and unedited interview, Comedy Central is offering it here.
