Of her new TV job Kathie Lee Gifford told MSNBC, “It’s going to be a new experience because this time it’s with a girlfriend...Regis was like a bad little brother all those years.”

Gifford hasn’t been sitting idle these past 8 years between TV gigs. She is a singer and an advocate for children’s charities. Her two children lend their names to two New York City shelters for babies born with HIV or cocaine addiction.

Gifford is still married to her husband of 21 years, sports commentator Frank Gifford. Her son Cody is now 18 and her daughter Cassidy is 14. After all these years I’m betting some people are actually interested again in what she and her family have been up to. Now we’ll know for sure.

Again, Kathie Lee Gifford becomes a permanent co-host of Today show 4th hour on April 7.
