Mark Wahlberg Unable to Laugh at SNL
UPDATE: Wahlberg is now reportedly set to appear on Saturday Night Live.
Although he created a show (Entourage) that makes fun of celebrities, Mark Wahlberg apparently doesn’t like being made fun of. At least he didn’t the way Saturday Night Live did it. When asked his thoughts on the recent Andy Samberg sketch (which can be seen above), the Max Payne star admitted he hasn’t even followed SNL in quite some time.
Read More “Someone showed it to me on YouTube. It wasn’t like Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin, that’s for sure. And Saturday Night Live hasn’t been funny for a long time. They’ve asked me to do the show a ton of times. I used to watch it when Eddie Murphy was there and Joe Piscopo and Bill Murray. I don’t even know who’s on the show now.” So what do you think of Wahlberg’s comments? Do you think he sounded a bit defensive…or was he correct in saying the sketch wasn’t funny? How about his assessment of the show overall? Despite the show’s uneven writing, do you think there’s still a reason to tune in?
