NBC Claims Sarah Palin Needed No Laugh Track
Depending on which camp you’re in, you either found Sarah Palin‘s monologue during Tuesday’s Tonight Show to be funny—or reports of NBC using a laugh track to be even funnier.
Although an “audience member” from that taping - who supposedly has experience as sound engineer - insists the broadcast’s volume was pumped up, the network’s execs deny the claim.
“Neither the audio nor the laughs were enhanced for Sarah Palin’s segments on The Tonight Show,” NBC said in a statement.
After watching this clip from Palin’s open, let us know what you think. Did her jokes deserve that much laughter?

She was that funny. She had great timing, and the jokes were good. Stand up is hard.
I’ve seen Sarah do a bit of ad lib at rallies and in speeches, but doing a stand up like she did is impressive.
BTW, she brought the house down at the 2008 Republican National Convention several times, especially when she was goofin’ on Obama’s fake styrofoam Greek columns at his convention! Incidentally, that was the most watch Vice Presidential nomination speech in history, it eclipsed the viewership of Obama’s nomination speech.
Jon Stewart reviewed her appearance and was quite complementary. And Jon is certainly no Conservative plant!
Along with the video he adds this on his website:
“Sarah Palin proves she can master anything as she debuts her stand-up comedy routine on “The Tonight Show.”

I can’t believe you’d believe someone from the DailyKos (or link to that filthy hate site)
The DailyKos is a propaganda arm for the democrat party. Some of the most vile, hate filled people on the planet post there. This guy is one of them.
Don’t cheapen your website by linking to deranged hate mongers.
The radical left make up lies about Sarah Palin on a daily basis. It’s all they have. They can’t argue policy with her, because she wins. They can’t argue common sense with her, because she wins. So, all they have is hate and lies. It’s a truly sad existence.
There are websites that have facts about her though. I recommend Conservative4Palin or Tammy Bruce’s website. Also US4Palin. C4P and US4P have multiple authors and are quite knowledgeable about Sarah Palin.

Of course she didn’t need laugh track. She is very good at comedy as she is in all her speeches. She performed well during her segment on Conan O’Brien with William Shattner and she was very good at the Gridiron Banquet. What’s more she does it all from memory. She doesn’t need the teleprompter or cue cards. I have heard it said she has a photographic memory and it shows on these kinds or occasions. She is a multi-talented lady. I cannot wait until she applies her talents in the Oval Office.

her jokes got about as much laughter as those jokes get. There was no laugh track the “audeince member” isn’t an audeince memebr or was a plant atypical of the way the Obamaite’s stak Palin with smears. I demand evidence that that “audience” member was inf atc an audeince memeber, exists, and has “sound” experience. Most fo the people there were there to see not adam lmabert

Anyone with an iota of audio experience can tell you: 100% fake laughter. The timing was off, it was disproportionate to the context of the joke and (let’s face it) didn’t reflect her polarizing politics - Unless the audience was all Republican AND Palin supporters (there’s a huge difference) the lack of groans and moments of silence is telling.
Besides, people in the audience said she bombed. I think NBC (and Leno) have some explaining to do…again.
