After only less than a week behind bars, Paris Hilton has already been transferred out of jail.  Apparently a medical condition—something that did not preclude her from attending the MTV Movie Awards or partying all last weekend—was the reason cited for her release early Thursday morning.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department would not elaborate on the ‘condition’...nor could they say if it was ‘pre-exisiting’.  Spokesperson Steve Whitmore told reporters this morning that the decision was made after ‘extensive consultation’ with medical advisors.

The silver lining?  Paris will still need to finish the remainder of her original 45-day sentence, though she be credited for the 5 days already served (someone please do the math and tell me how its been five days since Sunday night).  Unfortunately, she will now get to trade in her orange jail attire for comfy PJ’s and do her time at home.  Poor baby.  An electronic monitoring bracelet will force her to stay within 4000 sq. feet.  In other words:  Party at Paris’ house!!
