Paula Abdul Responds to Ellen Selection

Wondering how Paula Abdul feels about being replaced by Ellen DeGeneres?

While I doubt she’s entirely pleased with the situation, she apparently has nothing bad to say about the talk show host. At least, there’s nothing she can say with only 140 characters.

Just moments ago, the former judge issued this comment via Twitter:

“I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”

Earlier today, Randy Jackson also commented on the new American Idol addition. “We’re all friends with Ellen, and Ryan and I are pretty close with her. She’s just mad cool,” Jackson told People.

“There’s so much music industry insider talk with me and Simon and Kara that I didn’t think we needed any more of that,” Randy said. “Ellen hit it right on the head — I think she could be the voice of the people. It’s like somebody in the home audience watching and going, ‘What would I say [about this contestant]?’ Ellen’s going to be saying it for [them].”
