Come this fall, old fans will probably experience a sense of déjà vu. Why? Because CW’s reboot will air on Tuesdays right after the network’s revival of 90210. Could it be any more 1992?

After watching all three preview clips, feel free to scroll down further if you’re interested in learning a spoiler…

Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!

The producers of Melrose have chosen to start the year in fashion. That’s right - a character will be killed off in Week 1. (That explains all the crime scene tape around the pool.) This death will kick off a season-long mystery that wraps in many of the other players.

So who is the unlucky victim? Sydney Andrews.

According to Entertainment Weekly, actress Laura Leighton won’t be limited to that one episode; she will be seen in flashbacks throughout the season. Her return from her first - and apparently not real - death will also get an explanation.

(Interesting side note: EW also claims that the writers were originally planning to kill off Amanda Woodward. When Heather Locklear said no, they reached out to another veteran.)

Melrose Place also stars Stephanie Jacobsen (Lauren Bishop), Colin Egglesfield (Auggie Kirkpatrick), Ashlee Simpson-Wentz (Violet Foster), Shaun Sipos (David), Katie Cassidy (Ella Flynn), Michael Rady (Jonah Miller), Jessica Lucas (Riley Richmond) and Thomas Calabro (Michael Mancini).
