American Idol is the only show on television which turns us all into music industry insiders. “He’s got some pitch problems,” you might say to a companion, or “Now, that was a poor song selection.” While Idol contestants audition before the judges, it’s really the viewing audience that’s offering the harshest criticisms. We’re carefully breaking down wardrobes, hairstyles, personality and sometimes singing too. But now that the Best of the Rest episode has aired, the hopefuls are on to Hollywood to display their talents for a much-hoped-for spot in the Final 24.
It’s a new season and today it’s all about the new faces and voices getting ready to grace the live Idol stage. But let’s not forget all those shining stars we rooted for in the past. Wondering what happened to that contestant from season three you adored and never saw again? Want to know how to find the singers who didn’t nab the most votes, but managed to nab your affections? Former Idol contestant (and media darling) Sanjaya Malakar will be hosting Idol Stars: Where Are They Now? on the TV Guide network. It airs Feb. 24 at 8 pm EST, but don’t worry, TV Guide has a bad habit of repeating all their programming until you’re quite sick of it. You’ll have tons of chances to watch.
Read More Interviews and updates on former contestants will keep Idol fans glued to the screen. Favorites like Kelly Clarkson, Bo Bice, Melinda Doolittle and Blake Lewis will be featured, among others. And Sanjaya? Yes, the program will offer updates on him as well. Malakar has made several other TV appearances since his Idol stint and mysteriously remains one of the most popular and talked-about contestants ever to appear on the show. Even before this Idol-tacular, however, Hollywood Week will begin on FOX. Hearts will break, dreams will die, and Idol fans will delve into their roles as talent scouts, producers, and critics with utter glee. I can hardly wait.

Good news for you Melinda Doolittle fans! She’s set to release her debut album titled, Coming Back to You on Hi-Fi Recordings in January 09. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Run DMC, The Jonas Brothers), Coming Back to You was recorded with a team of live musicians in Nashville and New York City.
The first single, “It’s Your Love” will be released to radio in October.

Simon and all 3 judges voted for Sanjaya ,and Simon said Sanjaya had a very good voice,however he did not like or vote for Blake ! Simon said Blake had grandiose ideas of his talent,and was very full of himself. Turns out he was right!!!!!!!!!!!!
