This Week On TV (10/15-10/21)

Samantha Who

MONDAY (10/15)
**Prison Break and K-Ville will not air tonight due to MLB playoffs**

  • The Price is Right (CBS, check local listings):  The 36th season begins with new host Drew Carey.
  • Dancing With The Stars (ABC, 8pm):  Co-host Samantha Harris returns.  Did you miss her?
  • Samantha Who? (ABC 9:30pm):  The show, once titled ‘Sam I Am’, debuts tonight.
  • The Salt-N-Pepa Show (VH1, 10pm):  Series premiere.  We’ll finally learn which one’s Salt and which one’s Pepa.
  • Gotti’s Way (VH1 10:30pm*):  Series premiere

TUESDAY (10/16)
**House and Bones will not air tonight due to MLB playoffs**

  • Dateline (NBC, 8pm):  Matt Lauer scores interviews with Sen. Larry Craig and his wife, Suzanne.
  • Beauty and the Geek (CW, 8pm):  Geek ‘makeover’ night.  Do the guys here cry like the girls on America’s Next Top Model?
  • Dancing With the Stars (ABC, 9pm):  Will guest performer Gloria Estefan be doing the Conga?
  • Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 10pm):  Aidan Queen guest stars as a potential baddie.  He will always be Dez from Desperately Seeking Susan to me.

WEDNESDAY (10/17)

  • Gossip Girl (CW, 9pm):  Dan and Serena go out on their first date.  Five bucks says they’ll be broken up by next week.
  • Private Practice (ABC, 9pm):  Addison’s co-workers don’t RSVP to one of her parties.  Making it worse, she knows they’ve opened their Evites.
  • CSI: NY (CBS, 10pm):  A dying man predicts a murder before it happens.  Could it have been time travel?  I’m guessing a twin brother.  There’s always a twin.

THURSDAY (10/18)

  • Ugly Betty (ABC, 8pm):  James Van Der Beek guest stars as a ‘bigoted ad exec’.  Who knew Dawson had so much depth?
  • The Office (NBC, 9pm):  Michael seeks out loans for his personal debt.  Loans + coworkers = another awkward episode.
  • Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (FOX, 8pm):  A whole 2-hours tonight.
  • Mad Men (AMC, 10pm):  Season finale
  • Viva Laughlin (CBS, 10pm):  Special Thursday night premiere.  Another new episode this Sunday (in its regular time period).

FRIDAY (10/19)

  • The Next Great American Band (FOX, 8pm):  Shouldn’t Johnny Reznick (The Goo Goo Dolls) be focusing on his own band right now instead of finding a new one?
  • Deal or No Deal (NBC, 8pm):  Sharon Osbourne, Elizabeth Edwards and Alec Baldwin offer encouragement to a contestant and breast-cancer survivor.  Those gals with the suitcases will be wear turtlenecks out of respect.

SUNDAY(10/21)

  • Viva Laughlin (CBS, 8pm):  The musical drama’s second new episode this week (assuming the show even makes it that far).
  • Desperate Housewives (ABC, 9pm):  A gay couple finally lands on Wisteria Lane.  I’m surprised it’s taken Marc Cherry this long.
