On yesterday’s taping of Late Show with David Letterman, the 62-year-old host gave reason to forget about Jimmy Kimmel.

Although he was clearly fighting a cold (who takes sick days, Jay Leno?), Letterman felt well enough to flirt with Jennifer Garner (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) and to personally nurse her wounds. (You can see that “touching” moment after the jump.)

He wasn’t flirting. Thats just what he does whenever he see’s a guest a graze, burn etc…
He’s just a friendly old man, with the guts to come on TV even in such a bad condition.
