Wednesday Ratings: ABC Spared a Wipeout

Thank goodness for Wipeout. The Season 2 premiere of summer’s guilty pleasure saved ABC from a completely dismal evening. Even though the reality competition bested SYTYCD in the 8:00 demos, FOX was still the overall winner with the 18-49s. Meanwhile, CBS was first place with the viewers.

The George Strait concert special (10.6 million, 2.2/6 in 18-49) drew in the night’s biggest audience for CBS.
Wipeout (3.2/10) challenged 8.64 million.
So You Think You Can Dance (3.5/10) averaged 8.58 million over two hours.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent (5.1 million, 1.1/3) was up a tick.
America’s Next Top Model* (0.5/2) registered 1.2 million.
