Rosie O’Donnell Announces Development Of Simply Sketch Comedy Series

Rosie O'Donnell Simply Sketch Fantastic news for Rosie O’Donnell fans! The recent announcement from the Logo channel cheered fans who have been hoping for Rosie’s return to television ever since the cancellation of her popular daytime talk show. This is a real boon for the newly established Logo channel, and great news for many TV lovers.

MTV Networks’ gay-oriented Logo channel said Monday it partnered with Rosie O’Donnell to develop a sketch-comedy series.

The tentatively titled Simply Sketch, which will feature a cast of up-and-comers, will be filmed in front of a studio audience with taped segments of musical numbers as well as commercial and movie parodies incorporating political satire.

Logo—which targets lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender viewers—also said that episodes will feature guest appearances by celebrities and “friends of the LGBT community.” The show is slated to premiere later this year.

O’Donnell, who will serve as an executive producer, called the show “fresh and hilariously creative.”
