Sunday Ratings: Big Brother Ends with a Thud

The season finale of Big Brother 9 did very little for CBS.  The network had the second best audience and came in third with the demos.

  • (16.4 million, 5.9/14 in 18-49) had enough to come in first.
  • (11.5 million, 2.7/7) was CBS’ hottest thing last night.
  • (8.5 million, 4.3/10) tacked on another 3 million; (6.7 million, 3.3/8) lost a chunk of its lead-in.
  • (3.4 million, 1.0/3) paled next to stiff competition.
  • (1 million, 0.6/1) was off by 500,000; * (1.4 million, 0.5/1) remained steady.

I’m glad the Simpsons did well in the sweeps!  I can never get sick of The Simpsons...it’s still relevant and hilarious today as when it first started. It’s great that the former executive producers of the show is doing a new series. I can’t wait!
