Sunday Ratings: FOX Animation Has Strong Return

After a week off for the NLCS, FOX’s comedy lineup returned to nice numbers. Last night’s episodes of King of the Hill and Family Guy even hit season highs. Regardless, the network did not do enough to overtake its competitors. CBS wound up winning the night with the viewers while tying ABC in the demos.

Family Guy's Stewie 8pm

A football overrun helped The Amazing Race (11.2 million, 3.0/7 in 18-49) pick up 2 million.
Extreme Makeover Home Edition (10.8 million, 3.6/9) lost 500,000.
Sunday Night Football (3.2/8) was down 3 million.
The Simpsons (3.8/10) returned to 8.1 million; King of the Hill (7.3 million, 3.5/8) did 700,000 better than before.
Valentine (600,000, 0.2/1) sunk by 400,000.
