Nope, I’m not talking about the fundraiser “Idol Gives Back,” but rather the marketing genius of “Idol Camp.” Can you imagine being the lucky kid who gets to spend 10 days at a camp that grooms Idols in the making? Forget singing around the campfire… this camp promises to bring past American Idol performers to help with training. Campers can expect help from Vonzell Solomon, Jon Peter Lewis, Carmen Rasmusen, Kimberley Locke and Bucky Covington. “This roster of exceptional Idol talent helps to reinforce our commitment to creating a unique American Idol experience while providing children with the ultimate performing arts education,” says Donna Milani Luther, Camp Director. “All of these talented individuals have something special to offer our campers and we’re looking forward to working with them this summer.” Camp begins the first session on July 7 in Northfield, Massachusetts—$2,999 for 10 days of Idol fun.
