Tuesday Ratings: America’s Got Talent Does Well for NBC

Despite the disappointments delivered by reality fare this summer (and the presence of basketball game last night), NBC managed to have a great evening with the debut of America’s Got Talent. The show helped the Peacock Network nab a win in the viewers while ABC had a hold on the demos.

Sharon Osbourne

Deal or No Deal (2.1/7 in 18-49) kicked off NBC’s night with 8.7 million.
Jimmy Kimmel (2.6/9) warmed up 7.6 million basketball fans; the NBA pre-game show (3.3/10) drew in 8.5 million.
The Moment of Truth (5.8 million, 2.4/8) was down 200,000.
AFI’s 10 Top 10 (1.3/4) had 5.5 million movie lovers reminiscing.
Beauty and the Geek* (0.5/2) trailed behind with 1.2 million.
