NCIS: Los Angeles: The new is going to get a little taste of the old when NCIS vet Pauley Perrette makes a special trip. According to Entertainment Weekly, Abby’s crossover to the LA division will involve a kidnapping…hers. Expect high drama - and more high ratings for CBS - on November 24.

Sunday Ratings: CBS, NBC Both Win the Race

Aside from FOX’s early celebration of Halloween (and a shift in CBS’ schedule), yesterday’s schedule was pretty uneventful. By night’s end, the Eye network was tops with the viewers while the Peacock network was first in the demos.

8pm

• 60 Minutes (4.3/11 in 18-49) pulled in 16 million after a football overrun.
• Approximately 14.7 million watched the Atlanta Falcons beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football (6.1/15).
• Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (3.0/8) had 10.4 million feeling emotional.
• The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror XX (4.1/11) entertained 8.6 million; The Cleveland Show (3.8/9) pulled in 7.7 million.

Friday Ratings: Mediocre Return for Ugly Betty

Fridays might not be a fashionable showcase for Ugly Betty. Over the weekend, the ABC program debuted to a lackluster 5.1 million. Although the show managed to pull in Supernanny-esque numbers, it was down nearly 5 million viewers from its last Thursday premiere.

8pm

• Ghost Whisperer (2.0/7 in 18-49) channeled 8.2 million.
• Law & Order (1.6/4) rounded up 7.6 million.
• Approximately 7.4 million watched the Yankees beat the Angels during Game 1 of the ALCS (2.3/8).
• Ugly Betty (1.4/4) debuted to 5.1 million.
• Smallville (1.1/4) pulled in 2.6 million.

• Trauma (NBC, 9pm):  “Rabbit has a surprising reaction during a turbulent flight.” Rabbit realized the whole bouncing thing was overrated.
• Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9pm):  “When Alan and Charlie publicly humiliate Jake, he says he no longer wants to live with them.” At this point, he figures he can support himself off his royalty checks.

Thursday Ratings: 30 Rock Not Solid for NBC

30 Rock has no problems attracting guest stars and earning Emmys—so why does it continue to struggle in the ratings? Last night’s Season 4 premiere found itself down 27% in the demo from this same time last year. It also lost over 20% of The Office‘s viewers.

8pm

• Survivor: Samoa (3.5/10 in 18-49) tested 11.9 million.
• Flashpoint (3.1/9) had 9.1 million guessing.
• Bones (2.6/7) also rounded up 9.1 million.
• Community (5.1 million, 2.0/6) tied Parks and Recreation (4.7 million, 2.0/6) in the demos.
• The Vampire Diaries (1.8/5) roped in 3.9 million.

Taylor Swift to Host Saturday Night Live

Too bad Kanye West doesn’t have a tour to distract him right now.

It’s just been announced that the rapper’s last victim, country star Taylor Swift, will be pulling double duty on Saturday Night Live next month. The gig - which had been planned since this summer - will come less than a year after the “Fifteen” singer served as the musical guest. (Her small cameo in a Broadway-themed skit can be seen after the jump.)

So what kind of sketches can we expect the 19-year-old to participate in? “I’ve been thinking about skit ideas for a long time,” Swift told the Associated Press. “There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.”

Wednesday Ratings: Modern Family a Modern Hit

FOX isn’t the only network that should be feeling gleeful. ABC’s freshman series, Modern Family, was only ranked behind CBS’ two dramas for the most viewers last night. The comedy also tied Criminal Minds for the evening’s best demos.

• The New Adventures of Old Christine (2.2/7 in 18-49) roped up 7.5 million; Gary Unmarried (2.4/7) pulled in 7.4 million.
• Mercy (2.0/6) turned in 7.3 million.
• So You Think You Can Dance (2.8/8) lured in 7.1 million.
• Hank (1.8/5) attracted 6.2 million; The Middle (2.0/6) delivered 6.7 million.
• America’s Next Top Model (1.4/4) scored 3.1 million.

Family Guy Spin-off Gets Second Season

After only a handful of episodes, FOX is pleased enough with The Cleveland Show to order a complete second season. (Only 13 episodes beyond this year had been previously ordered.)

Honestly, I’ve no idea why. The spin-off lacks a lot of the hilarity Family Guy brings to the table weekly, and I just cannot get over that German bear. Ridiculous is one thing. Outlandish is quite another.
