Wednesday Ratings: ABC Feels Some Love
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Animation, Comedy, Drama, Kids, Music, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, American Idol, Ratings
ABC might not have been the winner last night, but Modern Family and The Middle did their best to help. Despite competition from American Idol‘s Group Night, Family reached another series high in the demos. Meanwhile, Middle - with help from Charlie Brown - hit a high of its own.
8pm
- Human Target (8.9 million, 2.5/7 in 18-49) pinpointed another 1.1 million.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (2.3/7) returned to 8.3 million.
- The Middle (8.2 million, 3.0/8) added on 900,000.
- Gary Unmarried (2.4/7) pulled in 7.7 million.
- A Charlie Brown Valentine (2.5/7) entertained 7.5 million.
- Life Unexpected* (1.6 million, 0.8/2) improved by 200,000.

MONDAY (2/8)
- Bank of Hollywood (E!, 8pm): “Contestants include a daredevil in a wheelchair, an aspiring soap actress and a bodybuilding grandma.” The actress’ Guiding Light severance checks eventually disqualified her from the program.
- Heroes (NBC, 9pm): “Hiro reviews his past choices and takes action to stop a catastrophe.” If he can make it as far back as Season 2, he might be able to save NBC.
- Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp (VH1, 9pm): “The Season 7 premiere introduces the new cast members: Sebastian Bach, Bobby Brown, Nicole Eggert, Kevin Federline, Shar Jackson, Jay McCarroll, KayCee Stroh and Tanisha Thomas.” At least one of these celebrities was brought in from Skid Row.

Miley Cyrus Ditches Double: No More Hannah Montana
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Kids, Music, Prime Time, Cable, Cancellations
The Disney Channel has confirmed that their banner series Hannah Montana will be ending after its fourth season, but that may not necessarily mean we’ve seen the last of Miley Cyrus on the network. She’s still bankable for Disney Corp, and I don’t think they’re ready to let her go it alone just yet.
According to one programming executive, “the episodes will continue to roll out at least over a full year.”
Shooting for the new season starts on January 18.
