Friday Ratings: ABC Has Animated Evening
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Animation, Drama, Kids, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Specials, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, House, Medium, Ratings
Would ABC be smart to air cartoons every Friday night? The weekend’s broadcast of Shrek the Third helped give the network a rare tie in the 18-49s. CBS, though, was still a solo winner with the viewers.
8pm
- Ghost Whisperer (8.4 million, 2.0/7 in 18-49) raised another 400,000.
- Law & Order (7.5 million, 1.5/5) remained steady.
- Shrek the Third (1.9/6) attracted 6.3 million to ABC.
- House* (3.3 million, 1.0/4) fell by 200,000.
- Smallville (2.5 million, 1.1/4) also lost 200,000.

- Little People, Big World (TLC, 8pm): “Molly fails a Spanish test and decides to stop speaking English until she masters the foreign language.” And you didn’t think anybody learned anything on this channel.
- Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9pm): “Charlie’s male ego is bruised when he learns that he hasn’t been satisfying Chelsea.” Well, it has been a long time since he was a Hot Shot.
- Jon & Kate Plus 8 (TLC, 10pm): “Jon and Kate reflect on changes in their lives and the ups and downs over the years in the series finale.” Just so I’m clear—would Jon’s weight be considered an up or a down?

Didn’t know Heather Locklear was moving back to Melrose Place? Apparently you weren’t the only who missed that invite. Locklear’s return to the famous address hardly raised an eyebrow last night. The CW program still pulled in under a 1.0 in the rating and trailed behind its lead-in.

- V (9.3 million, 3.1/8) let another 1.4 million escape.

A disclaimer on the packaging explains: “These early Sesame Street episodes are intended for grown-ups, and may not suit the needs of today’s preschool child.”
But don’t get it wrong - from the very beginning, Sesame Street was designed just for kids. So, what gives?

Kate Gosselin Admits to Treating Jon Badly
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Drama, Kids, Reality, Specials, Gossip, News, Video
TLC reality star and media target sponge Kate Gosselin recently admitted in an interview that she’s not proud of how she treated Jon.
“I was very hard on him and I would never deny that. I felt very much like a lot of weight rested on my shoulders… I was wrong to treat him that way. Was it good, healthy and wonderful? No. Am I proud of those moments that were captured? No.”
Should we still be caring about these two? The way that they treat each other seems like they’re meant to be.

Wednesday Ratings: World Series a Grand Slam for FOX
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Animation, Comedy, Drama, Kids, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Sports, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, America's Next Top Model, Ratings
Game 1 of the World Series was easily a knockout for FOX—but it also did well for ABC. Although it was a distant second in the viewers, the Alphabet network saw its audience numbers go up thanks to original counterprogramming.
8pm
- Last night’s World Series game (19.5 million, 6.3 rating in 18-49) had the best numbers for an opener in five years.
- Monsters vs. Aliens (2.2/6) pulled in 6.9 million for NBC; a second showing (5.6 million, 1.9/5) did 1.3 million less.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine* (6.6 million, 1.6/5) lost 400,000; Gary Unmarried* (6.4 million, 1.7/5) did the same.
- It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown* (6.3 million, 2.0/6) did 500,000 better than last week’s Hank; The Middle (6.6 million, 2.2/6) picked up 200,000.
- America’s Next Top Model (3.5 million, 1.6/4) reached a season high demo.
