Taylor Lautner on Rolling Stone

Touchdown!

NBC might not have been able to land Robert Pattinson, but they have just scored someone with a lot better abs.

On December 12, Taylor Lautner will be the one entertaining the audience at Saturday Night Live. Rolling Stone‘s current cover boy - who’ll be joined by musical artist Bon Jovi - will host just five weeks after his rumored girlfriend, Taylor Swift, pulled double duty.

Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively and Rihanna will be the studio 8H guests on December 5. James Franco and Muse will then appear on December 19.

Taylor Lautner has just earned himself a spot on This Week in Unnecessary Censorship.

During a pre-taped interview for , the werewolf - who was joined by an animated (huh??) Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson - revealed the biggest hurdle in his quest for six-pack abs. It surprisingly had nothing to do with crunches. (At least, not that kind.)

You can see the full chat this Friday night after watching the premiere of New Moon.

doesn’t give its new shows a lot of time to find their footing, and it seems that even Wanda Sykes might have feet made of clay. The network’s new Saturday night treat, The Wanda Sykes Show, is receiving some pretty dismal reviews. You might want to tune in before it’s too late.

Entertainment Weekly found the opening monologue to be a “scattershot,” boring event, peppered with “cliché” pro-Obama jokes. The Sykes show closed with a panel discussion, in which participants were allowed to sip at alcoholic beverages. The possibilities here are endless, but somehow it still stayed sedate.

I really rather miss Mad TV.

Even though is only 19 years old, the singer has already had enough drama in her life to fill up a number of country songs…or just one Saturday Night Live musical monologue.

In the tune above called “Monologue Song (La La La),” Swift addresses both Joe Jonas and Kanye West. She also fits in a shout out and air kiss for .

Speaking about werewolves, Taylor was later featured in a digital short dedicated to the Twilight series. You can watch “Firelight” after the jump.

It’s not even Saturday, yet the VMA references have already begun.

In new promos for , Bill Hader gets a jump start on the Kanye West jokes in these clips with musical guest/actress Taylor Swift. Will this be the last time we hear the rapper’s name mentioned this week? I hope not!

Other actors/singers scheduled to appear on SNL in the weeks to come include January Jones (Mad Men) and the Black Eyed Peas on November 14 and (500 Days of Summer) and the Dave Matthews Band on November 21.

Taylor Swift

Too bad Kanye West doesn’t have a tour to distract him right now.

It’s just been announced that the rapper’s last victim, country star , will be pulling double duty on Saturday Night Live next month. The gig - which had been planned since this summer - will come less than a year after the “Fifteen” singer served as the musical guest. (Her small cameo in a Broadway-themed skit can be seen after the jump.)

So what kind of sketches can we expect the 19-year-old to participate in? “I’ve been thinking about skit ideas for a long time,” Swift told the Associated Press. “There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.”

Now that he’s got the disclosure part of the way, David Letterman is working on Phase 2 of his extortion plot situation: the apology.

On tonight’s Late Show broadcast, the host took time out to address the main woman in his life—his wife Regina Lasko. Although they have only been married since March of this year, the two have been dating for over 23 years. In other words, long before he ever started having sex with Stephanie Birkitt. (CBS provided the snippet above from this evening’s monologue.)

Today, everyone’s talking about an . It is amazing that such a thing could happen in today’s times of extreme FCC regulation. But here’s the thing: it’s happened before. When it’s live TV, bloopers of all kinds are going to happen. For those who remember seeing John Belushi tear up the set, Jimmy Fallon breaking up into giggles in almost every skit he was in and Eddie Murphy quickly glossing over a flub while he played a black activist, an SNL mistake is just more entertainment.

Today, everyone’s talking about SNL’s new female cast member. She was hired to shake things up a bit, and that she did, by dropping the live on the show’s 35th season premiere. But Jenny Slate’s oops moment was already eclipsed by Lorne Michaels’.

Where the hell is Darrell Hammond on the opening credits, hmm? The actor showed up on Thursday to do his famous Bill Clinton impersonation but was mysteriously missing from the Saturday version of the show. Hammond has served fourteen years with the series to become the most tenured cast member in SNL history…and what? Now he’s out of the weekend loop?
