Lost season 6

This is good news for fans that love so much that they can’t wait for the next season, but hate the fact that it’s the last, can take a bit of solace in the fact that season six will go one hour longer than originally planned. According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello on Twitter, “ABC confirms that Lost’s sixth and final season will total 18 hours, including two-hour premiere and two-hour finale.”

We still don’t want Lost to ever end, but hey, at least it’s something!

LOST News

JulietI just saw on Newsarama the teaser trailer for a new version of the old classic sci-fi show V.  I clicked on the link to check it out and to my surprise, guess who will be staring in the new show?  None other than Elizabeth Mitchell aka Juliet Burke from “LOST”.  So what does that mean?  Does Ms Mitchell do double duty or does it mean what I think it means and that the character of Juliet is indeed dead.  That sucks if it turns out to be true.

I love the Juliet character.  I really wanted to see her character happy with Sawyer and now it seems she’s dead.  But what does that mean for the show?  Is she gone because time has been changed and Oceanic Flight 815 lands safely in L.A.?  Or was the flash of white light we saw at the end of the episode mean time travel and the remaining Losties have traveled back to 2007 as some people have hypothesized.

Another clue, another mystery and eight more months of guessing.

Lost might not be able to compete against Adam, Kris and Danny, but its finale was still noteworthy. Last night’s season ender saw the program’s biggest audience since the beginning of April.

LOST5Well, the season finale of is finally here and now the wait begins for the final season next year. So what happened? A lot! But before we get to that, I would like to rate this season finale up against previous Lost season finales. I wouldn’t say it was the best out of all the season finales we’ve seen from this show. I think “Through the Looking Glass,” which was the season finale of season three, is hands down the best the show has ever done. Still this episode was very good and gave viewers a major revelation that we’ve been wondering about for some time. By the end of this episode, the question all of us will be asking is where do we go from here? How will the story continue? How much has changed? Let the speculation begin, but first a more detailed review of season five’s two-part finale “The Incident.”

MONDAY 5/11)

  • Gossip Girl (CW, 8pm):  “Serena’s run-in with the police upsets Lily.” She only expected her daughter to be cuffed and shamed, not frisked and strip-searched.
  • Weaponizers (Discovery, 9pm):  Season premiere. “An RV takes on a shuttle bus, after the teams equip them with rockets, machine guns and medieval weapons in this reality series featuring vehicle face-off competitions.” The only thing missing in this equation is .
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9:30pm):  “Alan and Chelsea bond, and their time together gives Charlie a needed break to do the things he loves doing on his own.” A wingman can help you score a woman….and keep her busy too.
  • Medium (NBC, 10pm):  “After Allison slips into a coma while working on a case, her spirit transfers into the body of a middle-aged man (Jeffrey Tambor).” The sexual reassignment process was much easier than the one Alexis Arquette went through.

Catching up on missed ABC programs will soon become that much easier.

Thanks to a deal that is still being finalized, programs ranging from to General Hospital will eventually be made available on Hulu. ABC, owned by Disney, will now become the third major network (alongside NBC and FOX) to allow ad-supported webstreaming of their shows via the site.

Looks like President Obama wasn’t what viewers had in mind for sweeps. Last night’s umpteenth press conference was seen by 29% less people than the March 24th version. Although FOX was able to beat the other networks for its airing of Lie to Me, the strategic move was probably a moot point. American Idol would have given the network a win anyway.

Barack Obama8pm

  • (7.9 million, 2.4/7 in 18-49) did the same as last week.
  • NBC’s coverage of the presser (1.6/5) drew in 6.7 million.
  • ABC’s political hour (1.6/5) attracted 6.1 million.
  • Approximately 6 million watched the president on CBS (1.5/5).
  • (4 million, 1.8/6) remained steady.
