Adam Lambert is rebounding nicely after being canceled by ABC. He performed twice for CBS, both times offering solid performances that can’t be called controversial - reminding music lovers, once again, why he was American Idol 8’s runner up.

View him in the video above rocking the stage on David Letterman’s show, singing “Whataya Want From Me?” and try to banish his scary AMA performance from your mind.

VIDEO: Crazy Like a FOX? Ed Begley, Jr. Rants and Raves

Living with Ed star Ed Begley Jr. (he’s been in the biz for years, obtaining guest spots on many different prime time dramas) lashed out at FOX News anchor Stu Varney recently, completely losing his cool on a very hot topic - global warming.

Telling the viewing audience “don’t get your news from me, people,” he demanded to know where Varney obtained his own information (yeah, FOX News, time to answer that question!) and shouted for a full two minutes before he managed to get Stu to yell back. Great stuff, this. At the end of the interview, Begley cries, “You’re a proper Brit - I actually like you!” It’s one of the craziest damn things you’ve ever seen - if you don’t often watch FOX News.

Tuesday Ratings: Season High for DWTS

DWTS’ ending may have divided voters, but it got people watching. Although last night’s showdown marked a finale low in the demos, the series did hit season highs overall.

• NCIS (20.3 million, 4.4/13 in 18-49) dominated its hour.
• The fall finale of V (3.1/9) closed with 9.2 million.
• The Biggest Loser (8.9 million, 3.5/10) trimmed off 500,000.
• So You Think You Can Dance (5.4 million, 2.1/6) lost 400,000.
• 90210* (1.2 million, 0.5/2) gave up 900,000.

Monday Ratings: Happy Slapsgiving for CBS

Nothing says Happy Thanksgiving like another slap for Barney Stinson. The highly-anticipated event helped kick off a strong night of comedy and put CBS on top with the demos. Meanwhile, DWTS’ penultimate episode gave ABC a win with the viewers.

• Approximately 20.5 million watched the final three on Dancing with the Stars (4.1/10 in 18-49).
• House (4.5/12 in 18-49) checked in 11.8 million.
• How I Met Your Mother (8.7 million, 3.7/10) hit a season-high demo; Accidentally on Purpose (3.2/8) scored 7.8 million.
• Heroes (2.3/6) saved 5.1 million.
• One Tree Hill* (0.6/2) settled for 1.3 million.

Good Morning America Axes Adam Lambert Appearance

Despite the overwhelming split over whether or not Adam Lambert’s American Music Awards performance was too provocative for television, Good Morning America has canceled Lambert’s scheduled appearance for tomorrow.

“Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning,” a network spokesperson said.

I can’t necessarily blame them, considering I was appalled to wake up in the morning to be greeted by a very sexed-up Fergie performance on the Today Show. At the same time, there are huge Calvin Klein billboards in New York City that feature a half naked Eva Mendes (and men, for that matter) 24 hours a day!

Either way, CBS jumped at the opportunity ABC threw away, quick to book Lambert for their Early Show tomorrow. I wonder what the sexual singer will have in store for his daytime fans…

Friday Ratings: ABC Has Animated Evening

Would ABC be smart to air cartoons every Friday night? The weekend’s broadcast of Shrek the Third helped give the network a rare tie in the 18-49s. CBS, though, was still a solo winner with the viewers.

• Ghost Whisperer (8.4 million, 2.0/7 in 18-49) raised another 400,000.
• Law & Order (7.5 million, 1.5/5) remained steady.
• Shrek the Third (1.9/6) attracted 6.3 million to ABC.
• House* (3.3 million, 1.0/4) fell by 200,000.
• Smallville (2.5 million, 1.1/4) also lost 200,000.

Thursday Ratings: CBS Takes Over ABC

Looks like somebody just wasn’t in the mood to share this week. Although Thursdays are typically known for win-win situations (CBS wins the viewers; ABC wins the demos), that was not the case last night. This time around the Eye network surprisingly took both categories.

• Survivor: Samoa (12.3 million, 3.8/11 in 18-49) was off by 900,000.
• Bones (9.8 million, 2.7/8) remained steady.
• FlashForward (8 million, 2.4/7) lost another 300,000.
• Community (5.1 million, 2.0/6) tied Parks and Recreation (4.6 million, 2.0/6) in the demos.
• The Vampire Diaries (3.7 million, 1.6/5) fell by 600,000.

VIDEO: Tearful Oprah Announces Decision

This is how you make an anti-climatic statement.

After waiting until the very end of today’s broadcast to formally announce her already-leaked decision, Oprah Winfrey offered very little to her audience (aside from tears) that we haven’t already heard. Although she said she wanted to the viewers to hear the message “directly” from her, she never once did end the “conjecture” or “speculation” about her future.

Is it possible the talk show has no idea what she’ll be doing two years from now? Is she simply going to take a break and just go with the flow? Well, considering she’s in the process of starting OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, that’s highly doubtful. Besides—who’s going to keep Gayle King employed?

• Mercy (7.8 million, 2.0/6 in 18-49) took in another million.
• The New Adventures of Old Christine (7.5 million, 2.2/7) did about the same; Gary Unmarried (7.2 million, 2.5/7) lost 500,000.
• A Modern Family* repeat (6.2 million, 1.9/6) did 900,000 better than Hank; The Middle (7.1 million, 2.4/7) was helped by its new lead-in.
• Dancing with the Stars (5.7 million, 2.1/6) picked up 200,000.
• Approximately 3.7 million caught the America’s Next Top Model finale (1.7/5).
