It’s time to forget everything you remembered about last year’s fall schedule and start anew. CW will get the new season kicked off in just two weeks and there a lot of programming changes in store.
Used to watching your Law & Order: SVU @ 10:00? Too bad. Jay Leno’s got that time slot locked up for quite some time. Are your Tuesday nights devoted to Dancing with the Stars? Well, FOX is hoping you’ll check out the competition on So You Think You Can Dance. Like catching up with Medium on NBC Mondays? Start looking for Patricia Arquette on CBS Fridays.

Tuesday Ratings: Tight Reality Race

Last night, three reality shows (Wipeout, Hell’s Kitchen, America’s Got Talent) gave it all they had. When the dust settled, NBC had a hold on the viewers while ABC was tied with FOX for the demos.
8pm
- Wipeout (10.6 million, 4.0/13 in 18-49) brought 1.2 million more to the table.
- NCIS* (8.6 million, 1.5/5) picked up another 600,000.
- Celebrity Family Feud (7.5 million, 2.1/7) had 500,000 more arguing.
- The Moment of Truth (2.0/6) closed its season with 5 million.
- Beauty and the Geek* (740,000, 0.3/1) was down 110,000.

Tuesday Ratings: Wipeout Remains Strong

Last night, ABC’s Wipeout proved it could survive the sophomore week jinx. Meanwhile, America’s Got Talent widened its lead over the competition. When the numbers were finalized, NBC was the winner in both categories.

- Wipeout (9.4 million, 3.6/12 in 18-49) had the night’s best demos.
- NCIS* (8 million, 1.3/4) picked up 300,000.
- Celebrity Family Feud (7 million, 1.9/7) said goodbye to 1.8 million.
- The Moment of Truth (1.8/6) detected 4.6 million.
- Beauty and the Geek (850,000, 0.4/1) dipped by 350,000.

American Gladiators’ ratings slide didn’t stop another reality competition from making a splashy debut yesterday. Last night, Wipeout had the best debut for any freshman summer series since last year. The show gave the ABC a win in the demos while NBC had a hold on the viewers.

- The debut of Wipeout (9.9 million, 3.7/12 in 18-49) had the night’s best demos.
- Celebrity Family Feud (2.3/8) premiered to 8.8 million.
- NCIS* (7.7 million. 1.2/4) fell in the middle of the pack.
- A repeat of Hell’s Kitchen* (1.3/4) pulled in 3.3 million.
- Beauty and the Geek* (1.2 million, 0.5/2) repeated last week’s numbers.

Tuesday Ratings: Lakers Win Game and Viewers

Game 3 between the Boston Celtics and the LA Lakers overpowered FOX’s reality block. ABC wound up passing its competitors in both the viewers and the demos.

- NCIS* (10 million, 1.9/6 in 18-49) had a 900,000 climb.
- The NBA pre-game show (3.6/11) drew in 9.1 million.
- The Jimmy Kimmel special (2.9/10) kicked off the evening with 7.8 million.
- The Moment of Truth (6 million, 2.4/8) was off by 700,000.
- Most Outrageous Moments (6 million, 1.8/6) improved by 300,000.

Tuesday Ratings: ‘House’ Returns to Strong Numbers

- NCIS* (11.7 million, 2.0/5) was down a smidge from one week ago.
- The Biggest Loser (8.3 million, 3.3/8) lost 600,000 lbs from last Tuesday.
- Just for Laughs (4.9 million, 1.4/4) remained about even.
- Reaper* (1.9 million, 0.8/2) retrieved 300,000 more souls.
