Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
30 Rock: If James Franco doesn’t watch out, he might start liking this TV thing and never turn back. The Milk star has not only lined up a stint on General Hospital, he will also appear as himself on the Emmy-winning comedy. Although NBC would not confirm the casting, it’s believed James will have a faux celebrity romance with Jenna (Jane Krakowski).

Tuesday Ratings: Americans Welcome the Visitors
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Ratings
Where were you when the visitors arrived last night? Yesterday’s highly-anticipated debut of V had the best 18-49 performance for any new series this season. Its audience numbers also came in right behind the premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles for freshman programs. Unfortunately, that one show couldn’t carry the whole network. CBS still won in the viewers and had a tight victory in the demos.
8pm
- NCIS (19.4 million, 4.2/11 in 18-49) was the most-watched program last night.
- V (13.9 million, 5.0/13) had the best demos of the evening.
- The Biggest Loser (9 million, 3.4/9) hit its lowest 18-49 mark this season.
- So You Think You Can Dance (6.1 million, 2.4/6) lost 400,000.
- 90210 (1.1/3) clocked in 2.1 million.

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Food & Home, Prime Time, Reality, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Hell's Kitchen, Dancing With The Stars, Ratings
It took a two-hour Hell’s Kitchen finale to finally put a dent into CBS’ strong Tuesday night lineup. The FOX series helped the network win in the demos last night, even though NCIS broke the 20 million mark (again) in viewers yesterday. The reality show also managed to improve 19% from its recent May finale.
8pm

- The Biggest Loser (3.4/9) weighed in at 9 million viewers.
- Approximately 8 million watched Dave Levey win the sixth season of Hell’s Kitchen (3.8/10).
- Shark Tank (1.6/4) ate 5.4 million up.
- 90210 (1.1/3) turned in 2.4 million.

The Vampire Diaries: It’s gonna be a different world for Jasmine Guy. The actress has now graduated from student at A Different World‘s Hillman College to grandmother on the CW series. (How old does that make me??) The 47-year-old will be related to Bonnie Bennett (Katerina Graham).

Tuesday Ratings: Is Melrose Place Already Over?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Reality, NBC, The CW, Ratings, Video
Apparently, even a murder-mystery just isn’t enough to keep the viewers coming back. Melrose Place, one of the CW’s most promising new dramas, took a severe ratings tumble in its second week. Could this be the end of sultry twenty-something California living…again?
Melrose fell to below two million viewers despite its hefty 90210 lead-in, getting soundly whipped in its time slot by The Biggest Loser‘s premiere over on NBC. The CW gained around 2.3 million for the Melrose Place premiere a week before, which was well below expectations for the revamped series.

Tuesday Ratings: Melrose, 90210 Disappoint
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Games, Music, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Ratings
The fall season hasn’t officially kicked into high gear, yet 90210 and Melrose Place are already coming up short. The sophomore drama debuted to nearly 2 million less than it did last year. Meanwhile, the freshman entry attracted a smaller number than Privileged did last September. (Note: CW has since canceled Privileged.)
8pm
- An NCIS* repeat (10.7 million, 2.1/6 in 18-49) was the hour’s largest draw.
- Hell’s Kitchen (7.6 million, 3.5/11) had the night’s best demos.
- America’s Got Talent* (1.5/5) got NBC warmed up with 6.8 million.
- Shark Tank* (1.1/3) attacked 3.4 million.
- 90210‘s debut (1.3/4) pulled in 2.6 million.
