Khloe Kardashian Fired from X Factor?

Khloe Kardashian on 'The X Factor'Khloe Kardashian has reportedly been fired from X Factor.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star joined Simon Cowell's show last year as a co-presenter with Mario Lopez and while he is set to return next season, Khloe will not be back.

"They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe," a source told The New York Post.

Khloe previously revealed she was asked not to take any hosting lessons before she started, leaving her unprepared for what to expect: "I've never done live TV before, and I was asked to not do any hosting lessons because they wanted me to be just myself. I found the day before because the stage was just built, that I couldn't read the teleprompter without glasses, so I had to get contacts the day before. Just learning how there's a screaming audience and you don't yell because the mic is right there... I will have an earpiece in my ear, and while I'm trying to read the teleprompter then I have someone counting down... and they're like, 'Okay, ask Simon this or that' ... There were so just so many pieces I never knew were involved in live TV."

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez to Host The X Factor?

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez are set to host The X Factor. The pop star search show started last week, but still lacks a presenter to front its live episodes, but sources say reality TV star Khloe and former Saved by the Bell actor are the poised to sign on as presenters.

Mario - who appeared in the third season of Dancing with the Stars in 2006 - was tipped to host the first series of the show last year, but the job went to Steve Jones, who was dropped after unsatisfactory ratings. Show boss Simon Cowell has previously hinted Khloe, 28, was his first choice to host the show. "I know whom I would like, but now I have to get it approved by the network. We have screen-tested a load of people ... It could be a Kardashian. I think that would work. I'm a fan of putting inexperienced hosts on this show. We have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloe is definitely up there in the running," he said earlier this year.

Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza

We’ve seen in a number of projects since his Saved By the Bell years, most notably as the host of Extra and as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. Now, he’ll return to reality TV in his own regular series courtesy of VH1.

Lopez’s Saved By the Baby will detail the life of Mario as a new parent (with girlfriend Courtney Mazza), as a quasi-celebrity and as an entertainer. VH1 hypes that the show goes “from the hottest parties to the dirtiest diapers.”

The series premieres on November 1 at 10:30 p.m.

- well-known to many as Zack Morris from Saved By the Bell - recently spoke about a possible reunion for the well-loved series. While chatting it up with Jimmy Fallon on late night TV, Gosselaar said he could be joining Mr. Belding, Kelly Kapowski, Jessie Spano, A.C. Slater and Lisa Turtle for a Bell reunion.

Respectively, their real names are Dennis Haskins, Tiffani Thiessen (billed on the show as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen), Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez and Lark Voorhies. The only one missing from the main cast is “Screech” Powers, played by Dustin Diamond.

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

CSI: NY: To celebrate its 100th outing, CSI: NY will be doing it old-school Terminator style. In the sweeps episode, several guest stars - including Rumer Willis, Daughtry and Scott Wolf - will become targets of a serial killer. In the original Terminator, women named Sarah Connor became Arnold Schwarzenegger’s targets. This time around, the suspect is aiming to knock off those named Mac Taylor. (That would be the name of Gary Sinise’s character.) You can expect the star-studded episode to air on November 19.

Mario Lopez Becomes New Host of Extra

Extra's Dayna DevonExtra's Mark McGrath

Even though Katie Holmes helped push him out of his Broadway gig, Mario Lopez is definitely not hurting for another job.

Today, the execs at Extra! announced that the competitor will now become the full-time host of the entertainment program. The show’s current weekend co-host and correspondent will take over for Mark McGrath and Dayna Devon starting this fall.

According to the New York Post, the Season 15 shakeup was ordered to help boost ratings. Coincidentally, it’s also being reported that McGrath will be leaving his three-year gig to work on a new Sugar Ray album. But whether the chicken came before the egg is unclear. As for Devon, the show’s permanent anchor since 2003 will stay on as a special correspondent. That’s right - she’s being demoted. Ouch!
