Battlestar Galactica Memorabilia Up for Auction

Battlestar Galactica

Looking for a special way to celebrate ‘s series finale? Why not consider taking a piece of the Sci Fi series home? Starting Friday, January 16th, NBC Universal will begin the process of auctioning off items from the show’s four seasons. The timing of the initial three-day event will coincide with Galactica‘s network return.

Participants visiting the Pasadena Convention Center will have the opportunity to attend live panels hosted by members of the program’s creative team. Friday’s preview day will then be followed by two days of rabid bidding on hundreds of items. Those unable to travel to California will luckily still have a chance to get in on the action online. The International Ghost Hunt is Back On

Ghost Hunters If you noticed a dismal lack of spooky thrills and chills this Wednesday evening, it’s probably because no new episode of aired to put us in touch with the paranormal. Sadly, the show will not return with fresh fear until September. In the meantime, you’ll just have to remain content with the show’s spin-off: Ghost Hunters International.

This European version of the show premiered on the in January, and though it scored the highest premiere ratings any reality show on SciFi has ever seen (including its parent program), only seven episodes aired before the fourth season of Ghost Hunters premiered to sweep International back under the rug. Now, the original is out of new episodes. It’s time for the B crew to shine again.

‘Tin Man’: SciFi Channel Meets ‘Wizard of Oz’

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Mini Series, Sci-Fi/Horror, Cable,

Tin ManI was probably five years old the first time I watched , under the assurances from my grandmother that I was sure to love the movie. Unfortunately, I was so completely terrified by the Wicked Witch of the West that I didn’t make it to the end of the yellow brick road until I was closer to the age of ten. But in the end, she was right. Besides achieving acclaim and immortality as one of the greatest American film classics of all time, The Wizard of Oz has also been heralded as the only true fairy tale to come from the U.S. From the moment -as-Dorothy Gale opens that black-and-white door to reveal a world filled with color, there is no question that viewers are about to be treated to a fantastical delight. That element of fantasy is exactly what the hopes to capture with .

(whose little sister is the star of FOX’s Bones) will play a more rebellious, modern-day Dorothy, this time with a motorcycle and a new moniker (DG). Like the famed movie itself, the is based on the L. Frank Baum novel. Basically, it’s a tale about growing up…and staying young at heart. The SciFi version, in keeping with the network, will be darker, more intense, and contain an element of the extraordinary.

Ghost Hunters Jason and GrantEver wonder how real life conduct their paranormal investigations? At-home viewers can tag along with Jason, Grant and the team from TAPS this Halloween as they investigate Waverly Manor in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s called one of the most haunted places on Earth, and it’s my hometown.

The original series Ghost Hunters debuted in October 2004, taking a cynical approach to a business that’s usually filled with mediums and psychics. Jason and Grant, founders of TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) do not claim to have special talents or an affinity for the dead. They are simply plumbers for Roto Rooter, men who set out to debunk and disprove claims of paranormal activity. Using technical equipment and sharp eyes, the Ghost Hunters do their best to prove that places are not haunted.
