Survivor Micronesia Finale: Stir the Pot!

Survivor Micronesia

This past season of saw a host of firsts.  In addition to the endless number of blindsides, the Fans vs. Favorites saga saw three people go home for reasons unrelated to Tribal Council.  The 39 days of competition also gave us our only female-empowered finale ever.

There were so many questions lingering around the last set of Tribal Councils.  Would Natalie be applauded for sticking around so long?  Would Cirie be recognized for all the strategic moves she actually headlined?  Would Parvati have to pay for what she did to Ozzy?  Would Amanda really end up being the threat everyone believed her to be?  Would everyone still be all kissy and huggy now that they had to take each other down?  Read on!

Does Tivo Reveal a Survivor Elimination?

Survivor Micronesia

Warning: Possible spoiler ahead!

I’m not sure if my recent discovery was merely a coincidence, but I found it quite interesting.  While going through my DVR for the week, I noticed this Sunday’s finale left out one name from its summary.

For those who own Tivos, it’s not uncommon to see names of actors and/or competitors in a show description.  But when a reality show only has five challengers left, does it mean something when only four of them are listed?

This Week on TV (5/5-5/11)

CSI Miami

(You can view TV Envy’s Post-Strike Television Schedule here.)

MONDAY (5/5)
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9:00):  (The script was written by scribes.) “George Eads (CSI) has a cameo in which a CSI team investigates a death at Charlie’s house.”  I know Charlie wanted to stop Denise’s reality show, but this is quite a sweeps stunt.
  • House (FOX, 9pm):  “House believes that an actor (Jason Lewis) on his favorite soap is seriously ill after observing his symptoms on television, so he decides to intervene.”  If I had known something like that would work, I would have kidnapped Smith Jerrod a long time ago.
  • Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30pm):  “Sam’s affair with Todd continues while he’s still seeing a clueless Chloe.”  I’m sorry—why doesn’t Sam just kick her out of her apartment again?  She does own the thing, doesn’t she?
  • CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm):  “Alexx is stunned when her son is the prime suspect in a murder investigation, and any help she offers could prove costly.”  Buh-bye, Khandi!

Survivor Micronesia: I’m Ruthless and Have a Smile on My Face

Survivor Micronesia, Natalie

On this episode of , the challengers found themselves in a rare situation.  For the first time since I can’t remember when, the ladies had a clear advantage over the men.  Ozzy’s blindside at the last Tribal Council gave the women a two-person lead.

Were the females able to capitalize on this momentum, or did another idol threaten to ruin their takeover?  And what about Amanda?  Was she even interested in backstabbing one of her friends (James)?  Read on!

Survivor Micronesia: I Promise

Survivor Micronesia logo

If there’s anything we’ve learned on , it’s that words are simply just that: words.  They may sound nice, but they mean nothing.  The first couple of competitors blindsided this season had to figure that out the hard way.

But after 20+ days on the island, it was apparently some had failed to learn that invaluable lesson.  In this episode, we saw shady deals created, old alliances counted on and assumptions made.  Who made one of the stupidest deals in show history…and who should have sensed it coming?  Read on!

Survivor Micronesia: I’m in Such a Hot Pickle!

Survivor Micronesia, Jason

For the first few weeks of , there was an obvious division between the Fans and Favorites.  Later, things started getting murky when members were switched and alliances stretched out.  This week, the two tribes finally merged and a whole new level of intensity entered the game.

With the competitors now fighting for individual immunity, this episode turned out to be quite an emotional roller coaster for those watching at home.  In Week 9, one of the funniest scenes in Survivor history was followed up by one of the most cringe-inducing moments ever.
