Celebs Celebrate 40 Years of Sesame Street

Sesame Street - Oscar the GrouchCelebrities are lining up to appear on the children’s series Sesame Street. Though the viewers probably aren’t in the target audience for many of these A-list stars, Sesame Street holds a special place in many of our hearts. The series is celebrating its 40th season on TV, and it’s going to get a year to remember.

So far, the guest list for the season includes huge names like , Adam Sandler, Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria-Parker, Ricky Gervais, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Hugh Jackman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Matthew Fox. First Lady Michelle Obama will also be putting in an appearance.

Paris Hilton Keeps Her Word On Charity

Paris Hilton seems to be holding true to promises she made during and just after her incarceration. The heiress made an appearance at charity auction over the weekend to help raise funds. Or, at least, to be seen. The Life Rolls On event was complete with an auction, where Hilton won a $17,500 surfing lesson with Billauer and Adam Sandler. At the event, Hilton told reporters that she was focused on her next movie – a “surprise.” Paris further said she’d start shooting next month on the flick. Hilton has also recently visited a children’s hospital in an effort to continue with her charitable dedication.

David Letterman Unable to Host Due to Stomach Bug

David Letterman Today’s Late Show with David Letterman will have something different—an absent host. Letterman came into work for a taping of the show earlier today, but had to leave because of a stomach bug. What to do when your host is sick? In this case, the show looked no further than one of the guests—Adam Sandler. That’s showbiz, folks. The show must go on, even if your fearless leader is throwing up elsewhere. Luckily, he had already taped Wednesday’s show and is being pre-empted on Thursday and Friday for NCAA basketball. Question is, does Sandler deliver in a pinch? I know I’ll be tuning in to find out. OK, you caught me—I go to bed before Letterman comes on, so I’ll DVR it for another day.
