Kristen Wiig to Guest Star on ‘Arrested Development’

So what has Kristen Wiig been up to since her departure from Saturday Night Live, you ask? Well, Arrested Development fans will be happy to hear that she'll be dropping in to guest star on the show.
Though details of the plot in which she will star in have yet to be revealed, it has been confirmed that she will portray a young Lucille Bluth (played by Jessica Walter).
The show - which had been cancelled by Fox after three seasons and later garnered a cult following - will premiere on Netflix in May, and the show's creator Mitch Hurwitz has affirmed that the long-awaited Arrested Development film will still happen: "This is the first act of what we would like to complete in a movie. These are episodes that set that up. One does not work without the other."
In addition to Wiig, Seth Rogan, Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter, John Slattery, Terry Crews, and Isla Fisher have also been confirmed as upcoming guest stars.

Days of haggling have resulted - finally! - with an agreement between Conan O’Brien’s lawyers and NBC.
Although different numbers have been thrown out by the media, it looks like The Tonight Show‘s current host will leave the network with approximately $32 million. That figure does not include a reported $7.5 million severance package to be divided amongst his 200+ staffers and a $4.5 million payout to executive producer Jeff Ross. (It’s unclear how much Andy Richter or Max Weinberg will be compensated.)

Andy Richter and Conan O’Brien Reunite for Tonight Show
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Late Night, Talk Shows, NBC,
Andy Richter helped launch Phase 1 of Conan O’Brien‘s late-night career, so it only seems fitting that he be there for Phase 2.
Just days after closing up shop in New York, NBC’s comedic redhead delivered big news to his longtime Late Night fans: Richter, O’Brien’s former sidekick, will be moving west with him.
Although Andy has starred in several TV projects (Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Andy Barker, P.I.) since his 2000 exit, the 42-year-old is best remembered for 7 years of staring contests on Conan’s couch. Now Richter will get to play Tonight Show announcer for his good friend. (He will also appear in various sketches, etc.)
Conan - and Andy’s - new 11:30 gig will officially begin on June 1.

Casting Corner: Lost, Chuck, Two and a Half Men and More
Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
Two and a Half Men: Now that everyone’s forgotten about his star-studded Bobby, director Emilio Estevez will soon be returning to his acting roots. In an upcoming episode of the CBS comedy, Emilio will play a drinking buddy of Charlie’s. (For those who don’t already know, Sheen is Estevez’s younger brother in real-life.) This cameo comes three years after their father, Martin Sheen, guested as Rose’s father.

Final ‘Andy Barker’ Eps Move to Saturday
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, NBC, Scrubs, Cancellations, Internet, Ratings, Renewals,
So, this doesn’t look like good news for Andy Barker, P.I.—it’s moving to Saturdays. The kiss of death, perhaps, but at least NBC is keeping it on the schedule and not pulling it altogether. The likelihood of renewal is slim to none for this ratings dud, which earned the title of NBC’s lowest-rated series this season. Me, I like it. I love Andy Richter and I’m glad to see Arrested Development‘s Tony Hale back on TV. But I can also see where this quirky comedy could fail to deliver to a mainstream audience. So, if you’ve been following along with this series, be warned that the final two episodes will air back-to-back on Saturday, April 14th at 8 p.m. You’d think for two little episodes, they could have kept it on Thursday, huh? Scrubs will fill in for the 9:30 p.m. Thursday slot, then move back to 9 p.m. in May.

Premiere Date Set for ‘Donnellys’ and ‘Andy Barker’
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, NBC,
These are two of the shows you may have heard some buzz about in the fall, then they swiftly fell off of the radar. The Black Donnellys, a crime drama, will premiere on NBC on March 5 at 10:00 p.m. This mid-season entry will knock Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip off of the schedule, with no clear indication about when it will return. Donnellys will have the lead-in of Heroes, so it’s not too shabby a place to be.
Andy Barker, P.I., the new comedy starring Andy Richter, will begin on March 15th at 9:30 p.m. (also on NBC). So, that will replace 30 Rock mid-season. As much as I’m looking forward to seeing Andy Richter, I will certainly be mourning the absence of 30 Rock. That show just continues to get better each week. Fear not, however, 30 Rock will return to its Thursday time beginning on April 19th.
