Jack Wagner on Dancing with the Stars

Jack Wagner became the second contestant to leave the latest series of Dancing with the Stars last night.

The former General Hospital actor - who was tied for last place on 24 points with Sherri Shepherd, Gavin DeGraw, Melissa Gilbert and Gladys Knight on Tuesday's show - was a surprise elimination from the competition with either Gavin or Melissa expected to be sent home. Before the results were announced, head judge Len Goodman suggested producers "roll it over to next week because no one deserves to go home tonight."

Dancing with the Stars 10: The Contestants are Paired Up

Last night, ABC revealed the names making up the roster for . Today, we learned how those 11 contestants will be paired up.

Although the list is significantly shorter than Season 9’s, the producers managed to squeeze in an entirely new professional (Damian Whitewood) and a familiar face (Ashly DelGrosso).

DWTS’ Lacey Schwimmer Out with Flu

Lacey Schwimmer and Mark DacascosAnother week calls for another substitution.

Although Season 8 of was riddled with celebrity injuries, Season 9 has been hit on the professional side. Two weeks ago, Derek Hough was temporarily replaced by Maksim Chmerkovskiy when he was hit with the flu. Now, Lacey Schwimmer is using up one of her sick days.

On tonight’s broadcast, Anna Trebunskaya will play the part of ’ partner. Anna originally stepped in this weekend to help the Iron Chef America star rehearse, but her role later increased when Schwimmer’s condition worsened. Unfortunately, this last-minute shuffling only gave the pair two days to learn two dances (the samba and a group paso doble.)

So how is Lacey feeling right now? Well - according to a tweet from earlier today, not great. “Guys I’m super sad to be sick today. Ugh,” she wrote.

Although we’ve already learned the celebrities comprising Dancing with the Stars 9, we know now the 16 pairs vying for that mirror ball trophy.

Aside from the addition of Anna Demidova (last season’s contest winner), there will be no new faces in the professional line-up this round. (The cast is already comprised of three So You Think You Can Dance vets as it is.) Louis Van Amstel, who was just seen on SYTYCD, will also make a return to his old stomping grounds.

The division of the sexes formally ended on tonight’s .  All twelves couples gathered for their last chance to dazzle the viewers before Tuesday’s dreaded double-elimination.

Dancing with the Stars 6: The Men Debut

Dancing with the Stars: Season 6 kicked off tonight with another interesting range of participants.  This time around we had a football player, an R&B artist, a magician, a radio DJ and two actors.

For the show’s first week, the men had Monday night to themselves.  (The ladies will take their floor tomorrow.)  This will all lead to the very first double-elimination next week (one man, one woman) after all 12 couples get another chance to perform.
