You're going to see a very different tone in season three, but that's the joy of the show. I think as a person right now I do feel lighter and wanting to embrace something a little bit more fun," he said.

American Horror Story in Talks With Joseph Fiennes

Joseph FiennesThe cast of the second season of American Horror Story is coming together slowly, but surely...

In addition to a handful of actors returning to the FX show from season one, word through the TV grapevine says that Joseph Fiennes -- whom you may recall from his most recent small screen role as Mark Benford on Flash Forward -- is in talks for the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk-created show.

The anthology series takes place in the sixties -- more specifically, in an East Coast institution for the criminally insane. Fiennes would play the head of the institution, where Jessica Lange's character works (incidentally, her character is a love interest for Fiennes').

Musician-turned-reality show judge Adam Levine is also new to the series, portraying a character known only as one half of a couple known as The Lovers.

American Horror Story's sophomore season is scheduled to premiere this Fall.
