MONDAY (1/10)
- Inside the Actors Studio (Bravo, 8 P.M.): "James Lipton conducts an interview with actor and funnyman Jim Carrey, star of The Truman Show (1998), Man on the Moon (1999) and the Ace Ventura films." This would be an example of a "yes man" interviewing the Yes Man.
- Lie to Me (FOX, 8 P.M.): "When Cal (Tim Roth) is asked to determine if a mental hospital patient is being held against his will he begins to question his own sanity." When you go from Reservoir Dogs to a television series, it's natural to question yourself occasionally.
- Castle (ABC, 10 P.M.): "Castle and Beckett interview a top magician (Gilles Marini) after the owner of a magic store drowns in Houdini's legendary water torture tank." Now that's a man who can make magic happen.

Monday Ratings: Surf’s Down for Hawaii Five-0
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Dancing With The Stars, House, Ratings,
Has the tide gone down for CBS at 10:00? For the first time since its debut, Hawaii Five-0 was bested by Castle in the hour. ABC’s victory in that time slot helped the network take another double win (viewers and demos) on Monday.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.8 million, 4.1/10 in 18-49) was down slightly.
- House (9.5 million, 3.6/10) lost 1 million.
- How I Met Your Mother (8.5 million, 3.4/9) did about the same.
- Rules of Engagement (8 million, 3.0/8) gave up 500,000.
- Chuck (5.3 million, 1.9/5) was on par with last Monday.
- 90210 (1.8 million, 0/9/2) was off by 100,000.

MONDAY (10/11)
- 90210 (CW, 8 p.m.): “Debbie applies for a job as an assistant to a very pregnant Jen.” She’ll do whatever it takes to
stay on the showprovide for her family. - House (FOX, 8 p.m.): “A patient who can’t stop vomiting is also hiding secrets.” A few more trips to the toilet, and he’ll be ready to cough them up.
- Castle (ABC, 10 p.m.): “Castle posits time travel as a possible element in the murder of a mathematician shot by a 200-year-old bullet.” Having seen Timecop, I fully support this theory.

Monday Ratings: Lie to Me an Improvement Over Lone Star
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Dancing With The Stars, House, Ratings,
FOX’s decision to quickly replace Lone Star with veteran Lie to Me was validated in the ratings last night. Unfortunately, the move really didn’t make a difference in the overall rankings. ABC was still the winner in both the viewers and demos thanks to reality hit Dancing with the Stars.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (20.1 million, 4.3/11 in 18-49) slipped by 1.2 million.
- House (10.5 million, 3.9/11) added on 300,000.
- How I Met Your Mother (8.6 million, 3.4/10) lost 500,000; Rules of Engagement (8.5 million, 3.0/8) grew by 300,000.
- Chuck (5.4 million, 1.9/5) remained steady.
- 90210 (1.9 million, 1.0/3) was down a tick.

Are viewers already bored with the Monday schedule? Minus a few exceptions, the ratings chart this week was full of down arrows—including one for The Event, the series that has raised a lot of buzz for NBC. 8pm

- House (10.2 million, 3.8/10) fell by 500,000.
- How I Met Your Mother (9.1 million, 3.9/11) added on 300,000; Rules of Engagement (8.2 million, 3.2/8) was down slightly.
- Chuck (5.4 million, 2.0/5) gave up 400,000.
- 90210 (2 million, 1.0/3) improved by 200,000.

Monday Ratings: Dancing with the Stars a Winner for ABC
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Dancing With The Stars, House, Ratings,
The first official night of the fall television season saw five new shows vying for our attention. Despite good starts from Hawaii Five-0, Mike & Molly and The Event, Dancing with the Stars remained strong for ABC. Meanwhile, Lone Star proved a position post-House doesn’t necessarily mean ratings gold.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars had 21.3 million (5.1/13 in 18-49) checking out the situation.
- House (10.7 million, 4.2/11) was down nearly 6 million from last fall.
- How I Met Your Mother (3.6/10) kicked things off with 8.8 million; Rules of Engagement (3.1/8) attracted 8.4 million.
- Chuck’s premiere drew 5.8 million (2.0/6).
- 90210 returned to 1.8 million (0.9/3).
