On Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, the battle amongst the final six really started to heat up. With the show’s comedienne out of the competition, the attention shifted to the program’s most important aspect: the dancing.
And while the celebrities should soon be doing two solos per night, the couples once again tackled a group number this week. But unlike previous ensemble performances, these team dances were actually scored on by the judges.

On this week’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, the producers had one more surprise in store for both the competitors and the audience.
In addition to their solo numbers, the six pairs had to perform in the first team dance. After being split into two groups of three (captains Warren Sapp and Susan Lucci were responsible for the assignments), the teams were then charged with working together on an ensemble performance. Unlike last Monday’s previous group hip hop number, these two performances - a Cha Cha Cha and a Paso Doble - were actually being scored. (Those scores would then be added to the individual totals.)
Who showed us they could work in unison…and who still needed work on their solos? Read on!

Last night on Dancing with the Stars, the remaining seven competitors each performed two dances. After completing their individual numbers, the couples then all gathered for a group hip hip number.
By night’s end:
- Two competitors (Cody and Maurice) suffered noteworthy drops from their recent season highs.
- Warren got his third 25 of the competition after the Rumba. That’s a mark he has not yet been able to beat.
- Lance, who was scolded last week for his West Coast Swing, received a 27 for his Jive. Not only was that his personal best - it was Monday’s best. (Brooke only had a 26 for the Rumba.)
- Cloris plunged way back into the teens. Although she had been hovering in the 20’s the past two weeks, she only got a 15 yesterday for her Cha Cha Cha.

On this week’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, the viewers - and competitors - saw a list of firsts.
- For tonight’s battle, the Top 7 competitors each had to perform a dance they had not yet attempted.
- The couples all had to tackle hip hop for the group dance number.
- Len Goodman - who had an unexplained absence this Monday - was replaced by Michael Flatley (a.k.a. the “Lord of the Dance”).
- One professional announced that they would be temporarily leaving for a non-dance related medical procedure. (Julianne Hough is having her appendix removed this week.)
In the end, who proved they could master two dances…and who showed us they couldn’t even handle one? Read on!

In addition to having the series’ youngest and oldest competitors to date, the seventh installment also boasts two Olympians and several interesting rivalries. This year we have married competitors (Alec Mazo, Edyta Sliwinska), a father/son battle (Corky Ballas, Mark Ballas) and a brother/sister rivalry (Julianne Hough, Derek Hough).
For the show’s first night, all 13 couples each performed one dance. They will then follow that up with another routine on Tuesday. Come Wednesday, the program’s first two celebrities will be eliminated.

In last week’s semi-finals, the remaining four contenders repeated two styles chosen at random. By Tuesday, Jason had fallen into third place and Marissa was given a warm goodbye.
Tonight on Dancing with the Stars: Season 6, the three finalists performed another two numbers. In the crowd favorite freestyle dance, the couples were only limited by their imaginations and abilities. In the first ever face-off number, the couples all had to do a 1-minute cha cha segment within the same song.

Last week, the elite eight - minus a few exceptions - struggled with the show’s Latin night. By Tuesday, Marlee lost her timing, Shannon lost her hips and Priscilla lost her place in the competition.
Tonight on Dancing with the Stars: Season 6, the amateurs had to memorize two new dances—one they had never done before and a group country number. (The latter performance wasn’t scored.) Were the stars able to please the judges…or did the program’s newest couple hog all the attention?

Dancing with the Stars: Season 6 kicked off tonight with another interesting range of participants. This time around we had a football player, an R&B artist, a magician, a radio DJ and two actors.
For the show’s first week, the men had Monday night to themselves. (The ladies will take their floor tomorrow.) This will all lead to the very first double-elimination next week (one man, one woman) after all 12 couples get another chance to perform.
