Christina Hendricks: ‘I Hate to Think of Mad Men End’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Cable, Gossip,
Christina Hendricks "hates" to think about Mad Men ending. The flame-haired actress - who plays Joan Holloway in the 60s-set TV show, which was recently renewed for a sixth season - claims the program has "completely changed" her career and she doubts she will ever find a job she loves as much.
"It's completely changed my career. Instead of people wondering who you are, you walk in and they say, 'I love your show.' It's a nice way to start an audition. I hate to think of it ever finishing. I have concerns about finding something I'm going to fall in love with as much."
However, Christina - who is married to actor Geoffrey Arend - is looking forward to other projects and spending some time with her husband: "I've got a couple of things lined up for the next break, and I hope to enjoy my home and husband."
Christina, 37, was "smitten" with Geoffrey when she first met him because of his sense of humor. "It just became very obvious to me, I was smitten. He makes me laugh and he's my best friend and I would always rather be with him than not, so those are pretty good indications."

Three Mad Men stars -- January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, and Vincent Kartheiser -- are in final talks to ink their two-year contracts, which secures their roles for the last two seasons of the award-winning series.
While Jones had fewer screen time in season five due to her pregnancy, Moss' character Peggy Olson was largely absent from the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offices, leaving fans to question where her storyline will go next if Moss remains for another two seasons. Series creator Matthew Weiner shed some light on Peggy's arc (spoilers after the jump):

Christina Hendricks Borrows Mad Men Clothes

Christina Hendricks borrows clothes from the Mad Men set.
The 36-year-old actress says playing office manager Joan Harris in the 1950s drama has helped boost her own sense of style and she sometimes can't resist taking home some of the outfits rejected for her character.
"I have certainly learned silhouettes from Joan. I wear a lot more pencil skirts and things like that - I realize they look good on everybody. Sometimes there are dresses that Joan doesn't end up wearing and every once in a while I will borrow one for an event," she said.
However, Christina insists her personal style is a little more reserved than her character's: "I like to sort of be 'put together.' I've actually been a fan of being a bit more covered up than Joan. I've always believed that's a sophisticated and sexy look."

Awkward TV: Anchor Imagines Christina Hendricks Naked
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Gossip, Video,
Awkward exchanges - as hard as they can be to watch - often come with very important lessons. This moment between KTLA’s Brian McFayden (yes, of MTV fame) and Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks comes with two.
1. Note to reporters: It’s okay to imagine Christina Hendricks naked. Many people have. Just don’t tell her when you’re doing it – and don’t admit in on live television.
2. Note to any female who might be lucky enough to have Hendricks’ body: Don’t ever tell a man you were “running a bath.” This will only lead to uncomfortable moments – especially if other women nearby are forced to listen.

Although Mad Men - with 17 nominations - once again topped off all dramas, 30 Rock did
notlead the comedies. Glee did. The freshman FOX series raked in a total of 19 noms, only a handful short of the overall leader. (HBO’s miniseries, The Pacific, received 24 mentions.) 30 Rock did receive 15 nominations, though, while Modern Family followed closely behind with 14.
The August 29 ceremony - which NBC will air live on both the East and West coasts - will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon. You can see a partial list of nominees after the jump.
