Crusoe

(You can view TV Envy’s Fall Television Programming Schedule here.)

MONDAY (10/13)

  • Chuck (NBC, 8pm):  “Sarah’s ex-flame and partner, Bryce Larkin, makes an unforeseen return and goes undercover with Sarah as an overly affectionate couple.” Unforeseen return? I predicted he would come back last year!
  • Little People, Big World (TLC, 9pm):  Season 5 premiere. “Matt travels to Baghdad to help dwarf children in need of medical attention.” By doing so, he has now milked new meaning out of the show’s title.
  • Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30pm):  Season 2 premiere. “Sam teams with her mom in a dance competition against Regina’s nemesis (Cybill Shepherd) and her partner, who just happens to be a ringer.” Why do I always find myself rooting against Cybill Shepherd?
  • My Own Worst Enemy (NBC, 10pm):  Series premiere. “The implant in Henry Spivey’s brain that separates the two identities begins to malfunction, leaving each side fighting for dominance.” On one side, we have the who excelled in Heathers. On the other side, we have the Slater who stunk in Mobsters.

Hulk Hogan’s Son In Serious Accident

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Reality, Cable, News

The HogansNick Bollea (aka ) was involved a serious car accident Sunday afternoon in Clearwater, Florida.  Police report that Nick was driving a Toyota Supra that for some reason lost control and crashed into a median.  Both Bollea and a passenger had to be extricated from the damaged vehicle.  They were later airlifted to the hospital in ‘extremely serious’ conditions.  Although the accident is still being investigated, police say it’s obvious the Supra had been traveling at a high rate of speed.  Nick’s father, wrestler , was notified of the incident and arrived at the scene.

Nick, Hulk and the rest of the family can still be seen on their reality show .

You can see the video of the crash scene via the link below:

The 2006 Academy Awards: Live Commentary

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Award Shows, ABC, Talent, Features

Academy AwardHere’s the night that many people around the world have been waiting for.  The rare opportunity for us to see all our beloved movie stars at the same place and time.  As for me—while I can’t wait to watch the red carpet affair, I have a love/hate relationship with the annual event.  The bad news?  When I notice that I’m watching beautiful people parade by while I’m sitting in my PJ’s gorging on chicken wings, I feel lower than low.  But when I realize that I now have the opportunity (and the vindictive excuse) for me to sit back and be catty to my heart’s content—the good then outweighs the bad.

As for how I actually feel about the awards portion of the event, I think that this could be a potentially exciting year—especially if my personal fave, Crash, sweeps in and takes away the grand prize from Brokeback MountainThat whole gay cowboy thing was so two months ago… we have all moved on now.  But even if Brokeback does come away with the win, it’s still a victory for us all.  Who would have ever thought five years ago that a gay-themed movie could become Best Picture?

Well, we’re now less than an hour away from the big event.  Please keep checking back with us here at TV Envy as we’ll keep you updated with play-by-play commentary of the big night! You can view it all after the jump - and feel free to play along in the comments.
