Whitney Houston's family is furious about her new Lifetime biopic.
The late superstar's loved ones are "p**sed" that the Angela Bassett-directed film depicting Whitney's rocky relationship with her ex-husband Bobby Brown is being planned as a TV movie because they feel she deserves so much more.
Pat Houston, the "I Will Always Love You" singer's sister-in-law, told TMZ, "Whitney is certainly worthy of more than a television movie. If Whitney were here today, this would not be happening."
Whitney's estate has reportedly already informed Lifetime of their displeasure and is said to be threatening a lawsuit if the network refuses to cancel production.
The singer's loved ones are instead planning their own big screen movie in the style of Michael Jackson's This Is It, which they feel would be a more fitting tribute to the musical icon, who accidentally drowned in February 2012 in her Beverly Hilton hotel suite.

‘Homeland’ Actor James Rebhorn Dies at 65

Homeland actor James Rebhorn has died at the age of 65.
The star - best known for playing Frank Mathison, the father of intelligence officer Carrie Mathison in the hit TV drama - has sadly passed away from a long battle with skin cancer, TMZ reports.
James is said to have died in his home on Friday night after his condition "drastically worsened" over the past weeks.
Aside from starring opposite Claire Danes in Homeland, the actor will be remembered for his roles in big Hollywood blockbusters, including Scent of a Woman alongside Al Pacino and playing Secretary of Defence Albert Nimziki in Independence Day. James began his career in the 50's and notched up parts in multiple TV shows including Third Watch, Law & Order, Boston Legal, 30 Rock and The Good Wife, as well as playing Reese Hughes on White Collar.

Cory Monteith Would Have Become a Teacher on ‘Glee’

Cory Monteith's character was going to become a teacher on Glee.
The late actor was the driving force behind the show according to its creator Ryan Murphy, who was planning to turn Cory's alter-ego, confused jock Finn Hudson, into a Glee Club mentor to replace Will Schuester [Matthew Morrison] before the 31-year-old star's tragic death from a heroin and alcohol overdose in July.
Ryan has now made public the touching eulogy which he read at the private memorial service held for Cory at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, California, where the show is filmed. According to Entertainment Weekly, he told his fellow mourners, "For me, Cory was both the beginning and the ending of Glee ... literally ... The ending of Glee is something I have never shared with anyone, but I always knew it. I've always relied on it as a source of comfort, a North Star. At the end of season six, Lea [Michele]'s Rachel [Berry] was going to have become a big Broadway star, the role she was born to play. Finn was going to have become a teacher, settled down happily in Ohio, at peace with his choice and no longer feeling like a Lima loser. The very last line of dialogue was to be this: Rachel comes back to Ohio, fulfilled and yet not, and walks into Finn's Glee Club. 'What are you doing here?' he would ask. 'I'm home,' she would reply. Fade out. The end."

Matthew Morrison: ‘Glee’ Is Over the Cory Monteith “Hump”

Matthew Morrison says that the Glee cast are over the "hump" of Cory Monteith's tribute episode.
The actor admits it was "hard and emotional" to say goodbye to both the actor - who overdosed on heroin and alcohol in July - and his character Finn Hudson in a one-off episode, but says the tragedy has brought them all closer together:
"We've kind of got over that hump of the Cory tribute episode. I'm so happy we did that, it was incredibly tough, hard and emotional for everyone but we all came together, we were happy to be on the other side of that. We're a family and we all have a great relationship with each other, but that just really solidified us and made us stronger."
Matthew was scheduled to play a concert the night he heard Cory had passed away and though he considered cancelling the show, he was happy it went ahead as he found performing "therapeutic." He explained to Britain's OK! magazine, "I had two shows after he passed and thought about cancelling them but I didn't want to let people down, I didn't think Cory would want me to. The shows were so hard to do but I'm happy I did because there is nothing more therapeutic than singing."
‘Glee’ Planning Cory Tribute Episode

Glee will film a tribute episode to Cory Monteith before taking a long hiatus.
The 31-year-old star - who played Finn Hudson in the show - was found dead last weekend following a heroin and alcohol overdose and creator Ryan Murphy has revealed the cast will film an episode dealing with Finn's death before taking a break to determine the future of Glee.
"We will begin shooting in late August the two shows we had already written, so that people can physically go back to work. We will then do an episode that will deal with the death of Finn's character and follow that with a long hiatus. I don't know exactly when we will come back, and we are trying out best with this attempt at damage control. We are planning a memorial for the cast and crew sometime this week on the Paramount lot," he told Deadline.
Meanwhile, Cory's father Joe has claimed his son's drug addiction was worse than "anybody knew." Speaking about Cory - who first entered rehab at the age of 19 before a second stint earlier this year following a relapse - Joe said, "I guess he was involved a little more in drugs than anybody knew at the time. His mother who was there with him all the time, she started picking up on it, you know stuff was missing, money here, stuff like that."

Barbara Billingsley, Famous TV Mom, Dies
Barbara Billingsley, one of TV's legends, has died. Billingsley was better known to TV audiences as June Cleaver, the mom on Leave it to Beaver. That classic TV sitcom ran on CBS in 1957, then on ABC until 1963.
“People still talk about it and write letters, telling how much they watch it today with their children and grandchildren,” said Billingsley several years after the show had been canceled. Though it was still very popular in 1963, the show called it quits after the sixth season because the two youngest stars, Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow, wanted to move on. “We knew we were making a good show, because it was so well-written,” Billingsley stated in the same interview.

-Sister Wives pulled in a record number of voyeurs for TLC on Sunday. The reality series about a polygamist family drew in the network’s largest audience (2.3 million) for a premiere in a year.
-Dexter Morgan saw killer numbers this weekend as well. The Season 5 premiere of Dexter—which also brought in 2.3 million—was Showtime’s best opener in 15 years.
-Drummer Max Weinberg will not be joining Conan O’Brien for his new late-night talk show. Guitarist and keyboard player Jimmy Vivino will take over when Conan debuts on TBS on November 8.
-Joseph Cerniglia, who appeared on a 2007 episode of Kitchen Nightmares, was found dead in the Hudson River last week. He is now the second person connected to a Gordon Ramsay show to have committed suicide. (Hell’s Kitchen contestant Rachel Brown died in 2007.)
Remembering Rue McClanahan

The world became a little less golden today when it was announced that Rue McClanahan, 76, has died. Betty White, the oldest of the group, is now the last living Golden Girl.
To bid a proper good-bye to McClanahan, who was on television for four decades, two TV networks are already planning special marathon events. WeTV will host a Friday night marathon featuring some of Blanche Devereaux’s (Rue’s) best Golden Girls moments. Episodes of McClanahan’s last series, Sordid Lives, will air on Sunday on the Logo Network.
